Apply today to join our team!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>As an Audiologist you will: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform clinical Audiology services including assessments, diagnoses and treatments for eligible patients with hearing loss and balance disorders.</li>\n <li>Complete patient reports; educate patients/families; provide counseling and consultation services and present lectures.</li>\n <li>Participate in patient rounds, risk management and research activities.</li>\n <li>Provide leadership to new employees, Audiology/Speech-Language Pathology students and ENT residents.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education & Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current full registration as an Audiologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to conduct and interpret Audiology assessments.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated knowledge of hearing loss and associated causes.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to apply systems theory to practice in Audiology assessments and interventions.</li>\n <li>Comprehensive knowledge of equipment and material used in the assessment and treatment of hearing disorders.</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of other health disciplines and their role in healthcare.</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of adult education principles, methods and tools.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to gather relevant data and make a multi-dimensional assessment.</li>\n <li>Broad knowledge of research processes and methodology.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to provide effective consultation.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to adjust to unexpected events, problem-solve, set priorities and deal with conflict.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other healthcare professionals.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to communicate (orally and in writing) and deal effectively with clients and their families, coworkers, physicians, other health care staff, and staff of external agencies.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver presentations.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workload.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to determine and deal effectively with urgent situations, patients/families/residents.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated computer skills including the ability to effectively use a computerized client care information system.</li>\n <li>General knowledge of Trauma Informed Practice and Harm Reduction approaches and Strengths-based care.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to promote Indigenous Cultural Safety.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to provide competent and culturally safe care in a variety of settings and with diverse populations.</li>\n <li>Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Closing Statement</h2>\n<p>The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes.
