    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">The primary purpose of this role is to establish and deliver a dynamic English language curriculum that fosters not just linguistic proficiency, but also a deep appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of English-speaking countries. The successful candidate will be key to promoting global literacy within our student body, equipping them with essential communication skills and a broader worldview necessary for success in a diverse, interconnected world.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">General responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: underline\">Teaching and Curriculum Deliver:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Plan, teach and assess high-quality EAL lessons tailored to the individual needs of students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Provide support to students across various levels of English proficiency, from beginners to more advanced learners.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure that EAL students are supported in all areas of the curriculum.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that enhance students' individual reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in English.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Offer one-on-one or small group language intervention as necessary to support student development.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: underline\">Student Assessment and Feedback:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Design and implement formative and summative assessments aligned with MYP, Waldorf or Cambridge objectives.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Provide regular, constructive feedback to students to support their language development and overall growth.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: underline\">Collaboration and Professional Development:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Work collaboratively with other teachers and coordinators to ensure horizontal and vertical alignment of the curriculum.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Participate in regular planning meetings, IB training sessions, and professional development opportunities.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: underline\">Classroom and Learning Environment:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active participation and a love of learning.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Stay updated on current trends, techniques, and best practices in language education.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills and contribute to the growth of the EAL department.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Understand and promote a CLIL approach to Language learning</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Bachelor’s Degree in Education, English Language or Literature, TESOL/TEFL/CELTA, or a related field.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent) is an advantage.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">At least 2 years of experience teaching EAL in a mainstream school.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction to meet the varying needs of EAL students.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Proficiency in integrating technology into teaching to enhance language learning</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Positive attitude to challenging situations and tasks.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif;
