    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities & Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitor and respond to ServiceNow tickets related to network incidents and service requests in accordance with OCIO-defined priorities and service levels </li>\n <li>Perform troubleshooting and resolution of network issues across OSI Layers 1–3 </li>\n <li>Support enterprise network environments including routers, switches, and wireless access devices </li>\n <li>Monitor network performance using government-provided tools </li>\n <li>Coordinate with the Service Desk and OCIO staff for ticket updates, routing, and closure</li>\n <li>Install, configure, and maintain network hardware components including routers, switches, and wireless devices </li>\n <li>Support office moves, new office setups, and reconfigurations including cabling coordination and port activation </li>\n <li>Configure switch ports, VLANs, and end-user network connections (“data monuments”) </li>\n <li>Install, update, test, and validate Cisco IOS software on network devices </li>\n <li>Configure and maintain remote management access to network devices </li>\n <li>Support monitoring and troubleshooting of WAN and telecommunications circuits</li>\n <li>Respond to incidents and service requests in alignment with OCIO-defined response and resolution targets </li>\n <li>Support after-hours maintenance or emergency response activities as needed</li>\n <li>Document all activities within ServiceNow including configuration changes and resolution steps </li>\n <li>Maintain network documentation including port assignments, VLANs, and configuration records </li>\n <li>Support reporting and documentation requirements for operational and project activities</li>\n <li>Work closely with OCIO stakeholders, Service Desk personnel, and other technical teams </li>\n <li>Coordinate activities for network changes, installations, and troubleshooting </li>\n <li>Provide technical support to end users as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>3–5 years of experience supporting enterprise network and infrastructure environments </li>\n <li>Experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network devices (routers, switches, wireless) </li>\n <li>Experience configuring VLANs, switch ports, and network connectivity </li>\n <li>Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN fundamentals </li>\n <li>Experience supporting WAN environments and telecommunications circuits </li>\n <li>Experience working within ServiceNow ticketing system</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)</li>\n <li>Active or must be able to obtain Public Trust</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Cisco certification (e.g., CCNA) preferred</li>\n <li>Experience in federal or enterprise IT environments</li>\n <li>Experience supporting office moves and infrastructure changes</li>\n <li>Familiarity with network monitoring tools </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a Data Network Engineer to join our team. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>TekSynap is a fast growing high-tech company that understands both the pace of technology today and the need to have a comprehensive well planned information management environment. “Technology moving at the speed of thought” embodies these principles – the need to nimbly utilize the best that information technology offers to meet the business needs of our Federal Government customers.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We offer our full-time employees a competitive benefits package to include health, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability plans, vacation time and holidays.</p>\n<p>Visit us at www.TekSynap.com. </p>\n<p>Apply now to explore jobs with us!  </p>\n<p>The safety and health of our employees is of the utmost importance.
