    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\">We are seeking a part-time Automotive Technology Teaching Professional who will report to the Dean of Technical Studies. This person will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in automotive technology courses to students at Passaic County Community College at the Passaic Campus. The instructor will engage students in both theory and hands-on learning experiences and in various aspects of automotive repair and maintenance. This position will work both independently and in a small instructional team to deliver a quality automotive technology program for students.&nbsp;</p><p>This is a part-time, hourly position.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Develop and deliver course curriculum in accordance with college guidelines and accreditation standards.</li><li>Teach automotive technology courses, including but not limited to engine repair, electrical systems, and automotive diagnostics.</li><li>Provide hands-on instruction in a lab setting, ensuring students gain practical skills.</li><li>Assess student performance through assignments, quizzes, and practical exams.</li><li>Maintain a safe and effective learning environment in the automotive lab.</li><li>Stay current with automotive industry trends, technologies, and best practices.</li><li>Collaborate with instructional team members to enhance the automotive program.</li><li>Assist students in understanding career pathways and opportunities in the automotive field.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Associate degree in Automotive Technology or a related field; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred.</li><li>Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ASE certification) are highly desirable.</li><li>Previous teaching or training experience is preferred.</li><li>Strong knowledge of automotive systems, repair techniques, and diagnostic tools.</li><li>Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population</li></ul><p>The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.</p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Compensation:</strong> Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The hourly pay rate for this position is $26.</p><p><strong>Benefits:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li><strong>New Jersey Sick Leave</strong>: Earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked with a maximum of 40 hours of leave per benefit year.
