Internally, we call this position Meat Ambassador to reflect the friendly, outgoing personality of successful team members.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #494949\">Essential functions</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Waiting on customers.</span></li>\n<li><span>Performing production tasks such as marinating chicken, slicing jerky, etc.</span></li>\n<li><span>Wrapping and packaging meats.</span></li>\n<li><span>Cleaning food contact surfaces, as well as the store.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #494949\">Competencies</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Ability to understand the various features of the products sold at LGCM.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to help customers select the proper product for their occasion.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to follow LGCM standards in preparing, packaging, and selling products.</span></li>\n<li><span>A desire to provide pleasant and helpful customer service.</span></li>\n<li><span>Positive, team-oriented attitude.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to use modern technology such as phone-based apps.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #494949\">Physical requirements</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #494949\">This position must be able to:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #494949\">Fluently communicate verbally and in writing in the English language.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #494949\">Lift up to 40 pounds.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #494949\">Safely use sharp objects such as meat knives, deli slicers, and more.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #494949\">Stand for an 8 hour shift: 2 - fifteen minute rest breaks and 1 - thirty minute meal break are provided during a shift.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #494949\">Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer are also possible.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #494949\">Operate in a variety of temperature environments from a “room temperature” retail store to coolers kept in the 40º range, to freezers that are kept in the 0º range.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #494949\">Education and experience</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #494949\">Prior experience in a retail or food-related industry is preferred but not necessary.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #494949\">Benefits</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive salary, based on experience.</li>\n<li>SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with company match.</li>\n<li>Paid time off for all full time employees.</li>\n<li>Paid Holidays.</li>\n<li>Generous employee discount.</li>\n<li>Life insurance.</li>\n<li>Supplemental insurance available as payroll deduction.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #494949\">Other duties</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #494949\">Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
