Opportunity may be available for training and certification for exams for victims 12 and under. style=\"font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Take on-call for sexual battery examinations as scheduled.</span></span></span></li>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Conduct sexual assault medical forensic examinations on both males and females 13 years of age and older sans-serif;\">Make appropriate referrals for victims of trauma or associated problems.</span></span></span></li>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Serve as an expert for the criminal justice system in a sexual battery prosecution.</span></span></span></li>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Serve as consultant to other agencies as necessary.</span></span></span></li>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Process specimens for the laboratory as necessary.</span></span></span></li>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Maintain contact with Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, Inc. for at least one (1) year after termination of employment and respond to any and all subpoenas on cases that were examined while employed as a Nurse Examiner.</span></span></span></li>\n\t<li This position reports to the Manager of Nursing and in his or her absence the Director of Sexual Assault Services. \\n\\nStrategic/Transformational Duties and Responsibilities\\n\\n\\n\\tThe nurse examiner will use a trauma informed care approach to help and provide forensic exams to victims dealing with the trauma of sexual assault in a compassionate and nonjudgmental manner. \\n\\tParticipates in the performance quality improvement (PQI) process and uses data to improve services and outcomes. \\n\\n\\nTransactional/Administrative Duties and Responsibilities\\n\\n\\n\\tTake on-call for sexual battery examinations as scheduled.\\n\\tConduct sexual assault medical forensic examinations on both males and females 13 years of age and older  within 120 hours of assault.\\n\\tPhysical assessment and evaluation of the sexual assault survivor.\\n\\tMake referrals for treatment of sexually transmitted diseases and post coital contraception.\\n\\tMake appropriate referrals for victims of trauma or associated problems.\\n\\tServe as an expert for the criminal justice system in a sexual battery prosecution.\\n\\tServe as consultant to other agencies as necessary.\\n\\tProcess specimens for the laboratory as necessary.\\n\\tMaintain contact with Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, Inc. for at least one (1) year after termination of employment and respond to any and all subpoenas on cases that were examined while employed as a Nurse Examiner.\\n\\tKnow and comply with the policies and procedures of the Agency, FCASV, the IAFN, the OAG and the FDLE crime lab. \\n\\tKnow basic microscope skills and identify common pathogens.\\n\\tTake digital and colposcopy photographs for use in court.\\n\\tPerform such other duties as required by the supervisor.\\n\\n\\nRequired Competencies \\n\\n\\n\\tCooperation/Teamwork - Works toward win/win solutions.
