    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Baldwin &amp; Shell Construction Company</span> is searching for a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Project Estimator</span> who will thrive in our Northwest Arkansas Team.</p>\n<p>Our Project Estimators are responsible for leading estimating efforts and providing support for our preconstruction services for our projects across multiple market sectors.  They manage the bid process, coordinate with customers, design teams, trade partners, and our field teams, and implement the preconstruction plan for our projects.  The Project Estimator reports to the Director of Preconstruction. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our Preconstruction &amp; Estimating Team works together to provide best-in-class, professional preconstruction services to inspire trust with customers through communication, coordination, collaboration, and planning. Our mission and values build our culture, guide our decisions, and inspire us to achieve meaningful results together.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Uphold and promote Baldwin &amp; Shell’s Preconstruction &amp; Estimating Mission, Vision, and Values.</li>\n<li>Conduct all business in accordance with the American Society of Professional Estimators Code of Ethics.</li>\n<li>Participate in all aspects of the preconstruction and estimating process.</li>\n<li>Manage the bid solicitation processes and assist in maintenance of associated databases.</li>\n<li>Prepare formal Trade Partner and Supplier bid scope packages for projects.</li>\n<li>Create project estimates and revisions.</li>\n<li>Perform quantity takeoff and specification review.</li>\n<li>Review, analyze, coordinate, and interpret drawings and specifications.</li>\n<li>Coordinate, document, and track preconstruction RFIs.</li>\n<li>Assist in developing preliminary project schedules and logistics plans.</li>\n<li>Manage value analysis efforts in support of projects.</li>\n<li>Provide document management during preconstruction and estimating efforts.</li>\n<li>Review trade partner proposals for accuracy, scope, and competitiveness.</li>\n<li>Negotiate with trade partners to find win-win solutions for all stake holders.</li>\n<li>Correspond with Owners, Design Teams, Trade Partners, and Suppliers as needed to perform estimating duties and to build and maintain relationships.</li>\n<li>Document work to enable clear communication and auditing to Owners, Architects, and Baldwin &amp; Shell’s Field and Field Office.</li>\n<li>Assist with capturing and maintaining historic project information.</li>\n<li>Participate in industry events to build and maintain relationships.</li>\n<li>Participate in and support preconstruction improvement initiatives.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Minimum Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have at least two (2) years of Commercial Construction Preconstruction experience or related project management experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with various project delivery methods including Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) and Design-Bid-Build.</li>\n<li>Knowledgeable in construction means and methods, specific trades, and standard scopes of work.</li>\n<li>Ability to work individually and within a team on projects and other initiatives.</li>\n<li>Detail oriented and focused on providing accurate information with strong math and analytical skills.</li>\n<li>Experienced with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.</li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills including presentations, and interactions with trade partners and clients.</li>\n<li>Strong documentation, organizational and time management skills and the ability to plan towards and meet deadlines.</li>\n<li>Current driver’s license</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Preferred Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with various preconstruction platforms such as On-Screen Takeoff, BlueBeam, Concntric, and BuildingConnected.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of the employee's activities, duties, or responsibilities required for this job.
