Learn more and apply today!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work in a safe manner in compliance with all Novelis safety and environmental requirements, policies, and regulatory statutes.</li>\n <li>Provide material handling services.</li>\n <li>Follows departmental processes.</li>\n <li>Follows departmental quality processes and takes appropriate samples.</li>\n <li>Operates a variety of mobile equipment.</li>\n <li>Communicates with other departments to coordinate metal flow and maintain operating standards.</li>\n <li>Assist others to provide an organized and clean workplace including assigned areas of the plant, workstations, equipment, walkways and locker rooms.</li>\n <li>Ability to operator hand and power tools.</li>\n <li>Must be able to move materials of up to 35 pounds.</li>\n <li>Adhere to and support company quality, environmental, health & safety, and certification standards, including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, IATF 16949:2016, and ASI Certifications, where applicable.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be a leader in safety. Demonstrated willingness to support all safety initiatives.</li>\n <li>Ability to become a qualified forklift and excavator operator. Complete and pass training on assigned material handling equipment.</li>\n <li>Strong oral and written communication skills, able to understand, speak, and read English.</li>\n <li>Basic computer knowledge.</li>\n <li>Ability to understand and follow plant safety rules and departmental safety practices</li>\n <li>Must be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic and positive attitude.</li>\n <li>Must be available to work all shifts either on a rotational or straight shift assignment.</li>\n <li>Must have the ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.</li>\n <li>Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.</li>\n <li>Must be capable and willing to train in other job classifications.</li>\n <li>GED or High School Diploma</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Forklift certification from a previous company and/or state agency.</li>\n <li>6+ months of work experience with forklifts and/or endloaders.</li>\n <li>Previous experience working in a heavy industrial and/or manufacturing environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Military MOS Crosswalk can include but is not limited to:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Army</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>12N – Horizontal Construction Engineer</li>\n <li>21E/12E – Construction Equipment Operator</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Navy</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>EO – Equipment Operator</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Air Force</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>3E2X1 – Pavements and Construction Equipment</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Marine Corps</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>1345 – Engineer Equipment Operator</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Location Profile</h2>\n<p>Davenport IA has been a key player in the aluminum industry for over 11 decades.
