Associates receive meaningful hands-on experience, direct client interaction, strong mentorship, and early responsibility handling a broad range of general liability defense matters.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At KD, we foster a culture built on innovation, teamwork, integrity, and excellence in client service, while offering a supportive and collaborative environment designed to help attorneys grow and succeed.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution in a collaborative team environment</li>\n <li>Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery demands and responses, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents</li>\n <li>Conduct court appearances, depositions, inspections, mediations, settlement negotiations, and motion practice</li>\n <li>Handle a broad range of general liability defense matters, including premises liability and New York Labor Law construction accident cases</li>\n <li>Communicate directly with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and witnesses while providing regular case updates and strategic guidance</li>\n <li>Participate in oral arguments, court conferences, and trial preparation</li>\n <li>Collaborate closely with attorneys across offices and practice groups on complex litigation matters</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>JD from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials</li>\n <li>Admission to practice law in New York required</li>\n <li>1+ year of insurance defense and/or general liability litigation experience</li>\n <li>Experience handling general liability defense matters, including premises liability and construction accident litigation preferred</li>\n <li>Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills</li>\n <li>Strong organizational and case management abilities with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Why KD?</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Uncapped opportunities for career advancement on a national platform</li>\n <li>Robust discretionary and billable hours-based bonus program</li>\n <li>Unlimited PTO for Attorneys</li>\n <li>Collaborative, team-first culture with strong mentorship and support</li>\n <li>Sophisticated and impactful litigation work with direct client exposure</li>\n <li>Meaningful hands-on experience and early responsibility</li>\n <li>Comprehensive health, wellness, and benefits package</li>\n <li>Exceptional professional development opportunities within a growing national law firm</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Base Salary Range: $100,000 – $150,000</h2>\n<h2><em>Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and does not guarantee a specific offer.
