    "description_html": "<p><strong>Producer, News Nightly&nbsp;</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Location: Washington, DC (Not Remote-Eligible)</p><p><br></p><p><strong>HOW YOU WILL IMPACT THE BIG PICTURE:</strong></p><p>As the Producer, you will work with the News Nightly editorial team to produce content and fulfill other responsibilities with a strict deadline to produce a quality daily newscast.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>WHAT YOU WILL DO:</strong></p><ul><li>Produce discussion segments on national/international pro-life news from a Catholic perspective, including writing news stories.</li><li>Communicate with the Executive Producer, Host, and other editorial staff about guests, includes conducting extensive research on potential discussion questions.</li><li>Pitch original content stories that would make good discussion or news segments based on current affairs.</li><li>Choose videos, sound bites, and still photos to be included in the broadcast.</li><li>Collaborate with pre- and post-production team members to produce editorially sound and visually appealing broadcasts that meet EWTN and Industry standards.</li><li>Support the additional weekly shows produced from the DC office, as necessary.</li></ul><p><strong>ABOUT YOU:</strong></p><ul><li>You have 3-5 years prior experience working in TV broadcast production/programming, preferably in a local or national newsroom environment.</li><li>Excellent broadcast writing skills; able to consistently demonstrate solid news judgment and a meticulous level of attention to detail.</li><li>Demonstrated understanding of the Catholic Faith and how it relates to the programming goals of the network.</li><li>A strong understanding of local, national, and international news, as well as key life issues relevant to EWTN’s Global Catholic audience.</li><li>Able to communicate clearly with control room staff and remote reporters/guests; successfully troubleshoot and resolve any issues as they arise.</li><li>Fluent on a wide variety of social media platforms; able to grasp new concepts and adapt to changing priorities quickly.</li><li>Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends/nights when required (minimal).</li><li>Able to work independently and proactively with minimum supervision; strong team-player mentality in order to foster a collaborative environment for the team and across shows.</li></ul><p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Bilingual; proficient in reading/writing/speaking in any language(s) in addition to English; strongly prefer Spanish and/or Italian.</li><li>Intermediate to advanced skills using broadcast software programs, preferably ENPS or iNews.</li><li>A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field is strongly preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT WORKING HERE:</strong></p><ul><li>We offer a career with purpose!
