This role supports the OEL team by <br>surveying road and bridge crossings, assisting in planning and design, assisting in construction  layout and <br>construction review of access roads and crossings within the resource sector. <br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Major Job Functions:  </span><br>•  Assisting in the preparation of road and bridge design drawings  <br>•  Coordinating project drawings and reports  <br>•  Surveying (Total Station &amp; GPS) <br>•  Construction Layout <br>•  Site and Construction Inspections  <br>•  Project Management and Contract Administration  <br> <br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Specific Skills and Knowledge: </span><br>•  Flexible, organizational and time management skills  <br>•  Excellent attention to detail <br>•  Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills  <br>•  Ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the business  <br>•  Motivated and Dynamic Self-Starter <br>•  Strong Planning and Organizational Skills  <br>•  Excellent Problem Solver <br>•  A committed and positive attitude along with an obvious customer focus and the ability to build <br>positive rapport with clients  <br> <br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education and Experience:  </span><br>•  Registered with ABCFP as a Trainee Forest Technician (TFT) OR Registered Forest Technologist <br>(RFT) and/or <br>•  Registered with ASTTBC as a graduate technologist or technician, or certified (AScT, or CTech)  <br>•  Prior experience in resource road and bridge engineering an asset <br>•  Proficiency in the use of RoadEng and/or AutoCAD or other drafting soft ware  <br> <br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Salary: </span><br>$50,000-$90,000 annually commensurate on experience, full-time permanent position. The lower <br>portion of the range reflects entry-level Forest Resource Technologist responsibilities.
