Works with Area Manager to ensure continuity of processes, goals and vision of SWS.</p>\n<p>This position will travel between service areas near <strong>Lake/Marion, FL &amp;</strong> <strong>Longwood, FL</strong>. Requires the ability to respond 24 hours a day to various situations.</p>\n<p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Indicates irregularities on forms for necessary action by servicing department.</li>\n <li>Documents customer interaction and field activities in CC&amp;B.</li>\n <li>Turns off service for nonpayment of charges in vacant premises, or on for new occupants.</li>\n <li>Maintains accurate and up-to-date records.</li>\n <li>Acts as liaison between the customers and customer service personnel for problem/complaint resolution.</li>\n <li>Constant, independent travel daily between worksites on Company time.</li>\n <li>Performs minor meter maintenance and repair duties.</li>\n <li>Assists with ordering parts and job costing.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>May assist with on-site customer communication.</li>\n <li>May assist with customer inquiries, requests and minor issues regarding meter reading schedule, billing, how meters are read and other customer service-related matters.</li>\n <li>May prepare a variety of operational reports related to water meter reading activities.</li>\n <li>Assists with the installation and disconnect of water meters.</li>\n <li>\n  <p>Performs other related duties as assigned.</p>\n  <p>&nbsp;</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What You'll Bring</strong></p>\n<p>Experience</p>\n<div>\n <div>\n  <div>\n   <ul>\n    <li>General knowledge of water meters, care and operation of a variety of tools and equipment, and safe work practices is helpful.</li>\n    <li>Knowledge of cross connection regulations and ability to report violations and other unsafe conditions.</li>\n   </ul>\n   <p>Education, Certification and Licenses</p>\n   <ul>\n    <li>HS Diploma or GED</li>\n    <li>Must maintain a valid Florida driver’s license.</li>\n   </ul>\n   <p>Nice to Have</p>\n   <ul>\n    <li>May be in the process of obtaining Distribution and/or Collections Systems certification or first-level plant operating license.</li>\n    <li>Some water meter reading experience preferred, in addition to previous mechanical or maintenance experience.</li>\n   </ul>\n   <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p>\n   <ul>\n    <li>Proficiency with MS Word and Excel</li>\n    <li>Ability to supervise skilled and unskilled employees effectively, including ability to mentor, evaluate and guide staff in the development of skills and ability, improve morale and maximize efficiency.&nbsp;</li>\n    <li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the general public, co-workers, regulatory agencies and their personnel.</li>\n    <li>Ability to coach employees objectively through complex, difficult and emotional issues.</li>\n    <li>Ability to implement recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.</li>\n    <li>Ability to delegate responsibility and authority to maximize use of employees’ skills.</li>\n    <li>Ability to keep accurate records and prepare and submit accurate reports.&nbsp;</li>\n    <li>Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.</li>\n    <li>Ability to provide for safe working conditions for fellow workers.</li>\n    <li>Ability to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public.&nbsp;</li>\n    <li>Ability to understand and implement a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures.</li>\n    <li>Demonstrates proven ability to motivate others in the pursuit of Company goals.</li>\n    <li>Cell phone, laptop, tablet, Trimble unit, water distribution equipment and machinery including pumps, valve exerciser, pipe locator and other maintenance equipment; operate a Company-issued motor vehicle.</li>\n   </ul>\n   <p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n   <ul>\n    <li>Moderate to heavy physical demands, including lifting (75 lbs.), walking (10+ miles daily), climbing and mechanical repair.<br>\n      &nbsp;</li>\n   </ul>\n   <p><strong>About Our Company</strong></p>\n   <p>We are a proud Equal Opportunity Employer.
