Contract Type: Seasonal / Short-term Contract Location Focus: Limpopo Nature Reserves ✨ WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS As a member of our Groups Program Staff , you are the vital link between ambitious Under-18 students and meaningful conservation impact. Your goal is to provide incredible, safe, and educational experiences to the leaders of tomorrow. We need vibrant individuals brimming with energy, who thrive in the wild and understand the unique responsibility of mentoring young explorers. This isn't a 9-to-5; it’s a lifestyle where your guidance becomes the catalyst for a student's lifelong passion for the planet. 🎯 WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Supporting the Expedition: Assisting the Groups Program Manager in the daily running of high-energy U18 school group programs. Mentorship & Growth: Acting as an enthusiastic role model and providing guidance to participants throughout their stay. Hands-on Impact: Assisting with project work, including planning sessions and delivering training relevant to conservation activities. Daily Management: Ensuring groups have a positive experience through active listening and helping them navigate challenges like cultural differences or homesickness. Operational Safety: Working with the team to ensure all health and safety protocols are strictly followed in a wild environment. Strategic Liaison: Interacting with local partners for specific activities and ensuring the program operates to a world-leading standard. 🚀 WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM If you are an ambitious, purpose-driven professional with a great sense of humor and a deep respect for the wild, we want to meet you. We know that welcoming a broad range of people with unique identities makes us powerful, and we invite your unique perspective to our team. ✅ Professional Skills and Experience Field Expertise: 1–2 years of experience working in the field (preferably African wildlife). Legal Requirements: South African citizenship/residency or a minimum 2-year visa. Driving Credentials: SA driver's license (Code 08/EB) with the ability to tow a trailer and a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) . Guiding Qualifications: FGASA qualification (Level 1 Apprentice or equivalent) and all necessary certificates to legally operate as a field guide. Leadership Experience: Prior experience managing or supporting U18 participants on group service or adventure programs. Safety First: Qualifications in Emergency First Response, Wilderness Safety, or equivalent. 🌟 Your Soft Skills (The Mentor's Toolkit) While your technical skills get you into the field, your personal touch is what changes lives.
