Reporting to the Property &amp; Systems Lead, this role assists with preventative maintenance, repairs, fuel handling, sanitation systems, and general property support in a remote northern environment.</p>\n<p>This is a hands-on position requiring mechanical aptitude, adaptability, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.</p>\n<p>Seasonal staff may also support guiding or guest-facing operations when infrastructure responsibilities are fully covered and operational capacity permits.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">What You’ll Be Doing</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Infrastructure &amp; Utilities Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with operation and monitoring of generators, boilers, heating systems, and fuel systems</li>\n<li>Support handling and transfer of diesel, propane, pellet fuel, and related materials</li>\n<li>Assist with water supply, filtration, utilidor, and wastewater systems</li>\n<li>Support hot tub monitoring, cleaning, and sanitation processes</li>\n<li>Perform routine system inspections and report concerns promptly</li>\n<li>Maintain maintenance and fuel handling logs</li>\n<li>Escalate infrastructure or fuel-related concerns immediately</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Preventative Maintenance &amp; Repairs</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support preventative maintenance programs</li>\n<li>Perform basic repairs and troubleshooting under supervision</li>\n<li>Maintain tools, equipment, and mechanical spaces</li>\n<li>Assist contractors and external service providers working on site</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Property &amp; Grounds Maintenance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform snow removal and general site safety maintenance</li>\n<li>Cut, split, stack, and transport firewood</li>\n<li>Maintain trails, access routes, and outdoor areas</li>\n<li>Assist with helipad and airstrip clearing</li>\n<li>Support freight handling and material movement</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Sanitation &amp; Environmental Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with composting toilet systems</li>\n<li>Support environmental stewardship and waste management practices</li>\n<li>Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspaces</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Team &amp; Operational Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work collaboratively within a small remote lodge team</li>\n<li>Support operational priorities during peak periods</li>\n<li>Assist with guest-facing or guiding activities when operationally required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">What We’re Looking For</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mechanical aptitude and hands-on maintenance experience</li>\n<li>Ability to work safely in a remote northern environment</li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills</li>\n<li>Physically capable of lifting, carrying, snow removal, and outdoor labour</li>\n<li>Comfortable working independently and within a team</li>\n<li>Adaptable, reliable, and safety focused</li>\n<li>Experience with generators, heating systems, plumbing, fuel systems, or remote infrastructure is considered an asset</li>\n<li>Previous remote camp, lodge, hospitality, or outdoor operations experience is an asset</li>\n<li>Valid driver’s licence considered an asset</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">What We Offer</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive seasonal compensation</li>\n<li>Travel to and from the lodge provided</li>\n<li>Room and board while on site</li>\n<li>Opportunity to work in a unique northern wilderness environment</li>\n<li>Hands-on experience within a dynamic remote operations team</li>\n<li>Opportunities for cross-training and operational development</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Working Conditions</span></p>\n<p>This position is based at a remote wilderness lodge in the Northwest Territories and requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The role involves physical labour, rotational scheduling, and living on site during work rotations.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Blachford Lodge by Arctic Kingdom is committed to building an inclusive and respectful workplace.
