We aspire to create a technology organization and an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region that is recognized as second to none in the world.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br><br><strong>Android Engineering &amp; Delivery</strong></p><ul><li>Own delivery across the entire app lifecycle &#8212; concept, design, build, deploy, test, Play Store release, and post-launch support.</li><li>Gather and clarify requirements around functionality, and translate them into elegant, well-structured technical solutions.</li><li>Optimize performance for the apps &#8212; memory management, rendering, network efficiency, and battery impact.</li><li>Develop custom widgets, reusable components, and adaptive layouts for diverse screen sizes and resolutions.</li><li>Contribute both technological and product ideas to enhance the overall app experience.</li><li>Stay current with the Android ecosystem through Google I/O, Android developer blogs, and open-source communities &#8212; and share findings with the team.</li></ul><p><strong>Architecture &amp; Technical Leadership</strong></p><ul><li>Architect and implement features using MVVM with the latest Google-recommended APIs; guide migration from MVP to MVVM where needed.</li><li>Apply SOLID principles, clean architecture, and GoF design patterns to build maintainable, scalable codebases.</li><li>Work closely with team members to understand full-stack functionality, backend contracts, and system architecture.</li><li>Conduct rigorous code reviews and champion engineering standards across the mobile team.</li><li>Deliver presentations on new technical designs, architectural decisions, and frameworks &#8212; from Google or the broader open-source community.</li><li>Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to maximize development efficiency.</li></ul><p><br><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience</strong><br><br><strong>Core Android Skills</strong></p><ul><li>6+ years of commercial Android application development experience, with at least two published Play Store applications.</li><li>Deep expertise in Kotlin; strong Java foundations for legacy codebase familiarity.</li><li>Proficient in Jetpack Compose and the modern Android Jetpack component suite.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Android SDK fundamentals &#8212; Activities, Fragments, Services, Broadcast Receivers &#8212; and their lifecycle management.</li><li>Excellent command of lambda expressions, Kotlin coroutines, and Flow for asynchronous programming.</li><li>Proficient with MVVM architecture and the latest Google-recommended patterns; ability to read and migrate MVP codebases.
