    "description": "<p>We are looking for an Experienced CNC Programmer to join our team. They will be responsible for programming CNC machines to produce parts according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate has a strong background in CNC programming and a passion for precision and accuracy.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Applicant must be a US citizen.</span><span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Access to DoD facilities is required. Company is not able to sponsor work visa for this position.</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Sign On Bonus</span></p>\n<p>Collins Machine Works offers a sign on bonus in the amount of $2,000 to be paid after six months of satisfactory employment performance. Collins Machine Works also offers employee referral bonuses in the amount of $1,000 per referral to be paid after the referred employee completed six months of satisfactory employment performance.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Studies applicable drawings and prints of work to be performed to design and/or modify CNC programs to produce parts according to customer specifications</li>\n<li>Program and troubleshoot CNC machines in accordance with control requirements and provide detailed instructions to the machine operators</li>\n<li>Assist with machine setup and proving out NC programs</li>\n<li>Properly and safely select, align, secure, and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines</li>\n<li>Recognize, deploy, and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling</li>\n<li>Monitor CNC machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining</li>\n<li>Operates and utilizes lifting aids as necessary to perform work</li>\n<li>Use gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements</li>\n<li>Perform daily, regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment</li>\n<li>Ability to track parts and jobs in JobBOSS and Travelers</li>\n<li>Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner while maintaining safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations</li>\n<li>Work overtime as needed on evenings and/or weekends</li>\n<li>Communicates with others to coordinate work in plant</li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PREFERRED MACHINING SKILLS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with Mastercam</li>\n<li>Familiar with G, D, and T</li>\n<li>Experienced with programming for milling, turning, mill/turn, and wire EDM</li>\n<li>Understanding of G&amp;M code programming</li>\n<li>Large part machining experience preferred: ship propeller shafting, ship steering gear, etc.</li>\n<li>Use precision tools, machinery, and equipment such as lathe, manual milling machine, drill press, hydraulic press, band saw, and a variety of cutting tools and equipment</li>\n<li>In-place machining experience is desired</li>\n<li>Forklift and Crane experience preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance available</li>\n<li>401K with company match</li>\n<li>Paid Time Off</li>\n<li>Short Term Disability and basic Life Insurance provided by company</li>\n<li>Supplementary Insurance: Accident, Critical Illness, Voluntary Life/AD&amp;D, and Long Term Disability available</li>\n<li>Employee Assistance Programs</li>\n<li>Opportunity for yearly bonus, profit sharing, overtime, and night shift differential</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or GED</li>\n<li>3 to 5 years related experience is preferred</li>\n<li>Language skills - effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language</li>\n<li>Ability to effectively interpret and translate instructions to other employees in a professional and respectful manner</li>\n<li>Ability and willingness to learn</li>\n<li>Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions</li>\n<li>Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables</li>\n<li>A strong, proven interest in engineering and mechanical systems</li>\n<li>Able to work independently or as a team to troubleshoot problems quickly and efficiently</li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints and solid models</li>\n<li>Ability to perform basic mathematical computations involving basic geometry and trigonometry</li>\n<li>Ability to accurately use precision measuring instruments</li>\n<li>Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PHYSICAL DEMANDS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane</li>\n<li>Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. at a time when required</li>\n<li>While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach overhead with hands and arms, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb ladders, and use stairs</li>\n<li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus</li>\n<li>The employee will also be expected to spend time using a computer</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WORK ENVIRONMENT</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
