    "description": "<h2>POSITION SUMMARY</h2>\n<p>Pay range: $49.34/hr - $74.08/hr, plus $3.00/hr break lunch differential</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>About the position: </strong></p>\n<p>The Break Lunch Team Nurse is responsible for relieving nurses during break and meal periods, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care. The nurse demonstrates critical thinking, effective coordination, and adherence to nursing standards.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Works with hospital supervisors and nurse leadership to identify resource needs.</li>\n <li>Reviews departmental meal schedules, prioritizing based on resources and patient needs.</li>\n <li>Provides break and meal coverage according to shift plans.Assists with acute care assignments when not covering breaks, supporting nursing care and performing tasks as directed.</li>\n <li>Maintains clinical competency for effective break relief and general nursing support.</li>\n <li>Tracks and documents lunch relief provided for each shift.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>About the Department:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>We’re a small community hospital with many of the resources available to big hospitals; our OB hospitalist team, respiratory therapists, CRNAs and midwives are all in-house and available 24/7</li>\n <li>Level 2 NICU, Pediatric and low-to-moderate risk LDRP services provided</li>\n <li>14 LDRP rooms</li>\n <li>Approximately 70-80 births per month</li>\n <li>8 private, individual NICU or Pediatric rooms</li>\n <li>Ensure an outstanding patient experience in private rooms, where patients can labor, deliver, recover and be discharged all from the same room for their comfort</li>\n <li>Our holistic approach includes welcoming doulas and midwives, participating in the Home Birth Transfer Partnership, supporting pain management alternatives and providing a jacuzzi tub in every room</li>\n <li>Find fulfillment in serving Hillsboro and its surrounding communities, located in Oregon’s most diverse county</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>JOB SPECIFICATIONS</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Education:</u></strong></p>\n<p>Required</p>\n<p>·       Associates Degree in Nursing.</p>\n<p>Preferred </p>\n<p>·       Bachelor or Master of Science in Nursing.  </p>\n<p><strong><u>Experience:</u></strong></p>\n<p>Required</p>\n<p>·       Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience in area being hired into. </p>\n<p>·       Experience with quality improvement; developing initiatives, monitoring clinical care.</p>\n<p>Preferred </p>\n<p>·       Management experience.</p>\n<p><strong><u>Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:</u></strong></p>\n<p>Required</p>\n<p>·       Current licensure as a registered nurse by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.</p>\n<p>·       American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.</p>\n<p><strong><u>Women’s & Children’s Center:</u></strong></p>\n<p>Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) required upon hire </p>\n<p>Preferred </p>\n<p>·       Certification in field of specialty/discipline (refer to policy N-12U) or Nursing Leadership preferred within one (1) year of hire.</p>\n<p><strong><u>Emergency Department: </u></strong></p>\n<p>·       TNCC.</p>\n<p><strong><u>Job Related Skills, Abilities and Behaviors:</u></strong></p>\n<p>Required</p>\n<p>·       Demonstrates effective written, communication and interpersonal skills – body language, filters, listening, paraphrasing and questions, and applies them to change management, team building, and facilitation of team effectiveness.</p>\n<p>·       Possesses knowledge of current concepts of nursing and medical practices, and skills necessary in providing appropriate care for patients unique needs based upon age, culture, ethnicity and belief systems.</p>\n<p>·       Exhibits effective conflict resolution skills and strong collaborative skills in daily interactions and decision-making.</p>\n<p>·       Demonstrates ability to use a personal computer efficiently.</p>\n<p>·       Must be able to function effectively and professionally in high stress and critical situations.</p>\n<p>Preferred </p>\n<p>·       Bilingual skills a plus.</p>\n<h2>Additional Posting Information</h2>Hillsboro Medical Center believes in providing equal employment opportunities for all qualified individuals.
