The Commission shall have jurisdiction over any appeal timely filed with the Board of Real Property Assessments and Appeals in accordance with the provisions of § 47-82S.01(f-l).</p>\n\n<p>The Commission shall be comprised of</p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>A full-time Chairperson;</li>\n<li>A full-time Vice Chairperson;</li>\n<li>Four full-time Commissioners; and</li>\n<li>Eight part-time Commissioners</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p><strong>Commission membership and requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n\n<p>All Commissioners shall be active members of the District of Columbia Bar, District certified general real estate appraisers, certified public accountants, mortgage bankers, licensed District real estate brokers, or persons possessing significant real property experience.&nbsp;&nbsp;Full time commissioners&nbsp;shall have at least 5 years of professional commercial real estate experience.</p>\n\n<p>The part-time members of the Commission shall be compensated on an hourly basis and shall hear cases of single-family residential property or any noncommercial real property assessed during the administrative review at $3 million or less (or under the notice of assessment if the administrative review is unavailable); provided, that the Chairperson may assign part-time members to hear cases of other real property assessments.</p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p>If you are interested in an appointment to this board, please complete the appointment application, and indicate which seat (full or part time) is being applied for.
