    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Operating Room Technician is responsible for performing a variety of duties in the Operating Room to assist the surgical team and to assist the nursing team on the hospital floors.</p>\n<h2>Special Instructions</h2>Certified Surgical Technician 11:30am-8pm Monday-Friday\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Sets up tables, instruments and supplies required for specific operation. Carries out surgical asepsis.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Assists surgical team during operative procedure.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Assists in the preparation for surgical procedures.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Assists in the preoperative preparation of patients.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Assists with table equipment, positioning of patients, application of plaster casts and dressings.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Prepares operative specimens, places in preservative solution and delivers to Laboratory for analysis.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Assists in transporting patients to and from the Operating Room, Recovery Room, and patient area.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Assists in cleaning operating room, equipment and instruments following surgery.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Cleans and stocks storage room.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Prepares Operating Room for the next case or next day.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Records data on patients' record data sheets and O.R. logs.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Must rotate on call as required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Performs duties of Nursing Aide as requested, when O.R. is not busy.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>High School Diploma or GED equivalent.</p>\n<p>Operating Room Technician Certification</p>",
