The Parts Consultant's key responsibility is to generate revenue by selling parts to all customers through various means such as over the counter, through the service department or on the phone. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, dental, vision insurances</li>\n <li>Company-paid life, AD&D and disability insurances</li>\n <li>401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions</li>\n <li>Paid time off</li>\n <li>Awesome culture</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assists technician in selecting required parts for service repair orders and maintains stock in accordance to high use parts.</li>\n <li>Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.</li>\n <li>Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.</li>\n <li>Provides high level of service to internal and external customers.</li>\n <li>Pulls and fills orders from stock.</li>\n <li>Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.</li>\n <li>Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.</li>\n <li>Notifies the service advisor and the customer when special ordered parts have been received.</li>\n <li>Pulls orders for delivery to service, making sure all parts are tagged with customer names and job number.</li>\n <li>Follows up on back-ordered parts.</li>\n <li>Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or required.</li>\n <li>Replenishes assigned inventory daily.</li>\n <li>Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.</li>\n <li>Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.</li>\n <li>Ensures that all charge sales are signed by the customer.</li>\n <li>Ensures that all customers receive their copy of the invoice.</li>\n <li>Issues credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.</li>\n <li>Issues and tracks requested shop tools to technicians.</li>\n <li>Keeps orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts.</li>\n <li>Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.</li>\n <li>Solicits assigned accounts by phone.</li>\n <li>Keeps front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.</li>\n <li>Maintains professional appearance.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong automotive knowledge. </li>\n <li>2+ years of working experience at a parts counter at a high volume store. </li>\n <li>Preferred - Bilingual in English and Spanish.</li>\n <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Comfortable with ambiguity in a dynamic, changing environment.</li>\n <li>Unwavering commitment to ethical business practices.</li>\n <li>Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA & Right-To-Know, etc.</li>\n</ul>",
