What the job involves We are seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer with deep expertise in Linux kernel and device driver development to join our Device Software team. In this role, you will own the low-level software stack that interfaces directly with hardware, enabling reliable, high-performance operation of our edge AI systems in production environments. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Linux kernel device drivers for cameras, sensors, networking, and custom hardware peripherals Own Linux kernel bring-up and platform enablement on embedded ARM64 systems (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson platforms) Debug and resolve complex issues across kernel space, drivers, and hardware interactions (timing, interrupts, DMA, memory) Develop and optimize high-throughput data paths (e.g., camera pipelines, CSI, ISP, video encode/decode) Work closely with hardware teams to support board bring-up, hardware validation, and signal-level debugging Implement and maintain driver support for peripherals such as GNSS, IMU, LTE/5G modems, CAN, and storage devices Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or related technical discipline Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in firmware development or a related field Strong programming experience in C, with deep expertise in Linux kernel and device driver development Proven experience developing and debugging Linux kernel modules, drivers, and BSPs Deep understanding of Linux internals Hands-on experience with hardware interfaces and protocols Experience with camera subsystems (V4L2), GStreamer, or video pipelines is highly preferred Strong experience with ARM64 embedded platforms and board bring-up
