As an official you will be asked to enforce the rules of that sport fairly and ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for participants. Ithaca Intramurals offers sports that include Basketball, Flag Football, Volleyball, Soccer, and many more. Come join a team of passionate and fun students that love officiating here at Ithaca College!&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;margin:0px;padding:0px\">\n <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;margin:0px;padding:0px\">\n <p>Attend mandatory training of sport to ensure shifts throughout the season.&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;margin:0px;padding:0px\">\n <p>Enforce rules and Intramural policies during your shifts of Intramural games and tournaments.&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;margin:0px;padding:0px\">\n <p>Stay updated with rule interpretations, policies, and staff updates to ensure rules are being applied consistently throughout league play.&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;margin:0px;padding:0px\">\n <p>Effectively communicate with players, colleagues, and&nbsp;supervisors regarding game schedules, rule interpretations, and disciplinary actions.&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;margin:0px;padding:0px\">\n <p>Prioritize the safety of all participants by monitoring game conditions and enforcing safety protocols.&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;margin:0px;padding:0px\">\n <p>Encourage good sportsmanship and ethical behavior among participants.&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;margin:0px;padding:0px\">\n <p>Assist with setup, breakdown, and general operations related to intramural sports events as needed.&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;margin:0px;padding:0px\">\n <p><strong>Qualifications</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;margin:0px;padding:0px\">\n <p>Previous experience of officiating of any kind is preferred but not required.&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;margin:0px;padding:0px\">\n <p>Good knowledge of rules and strategies for Intramural activities.&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;margin:0px;padding:0px\">\n <p>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;margin:0px;padding:0px\">\n <p>Physical ability to stay on your feet and run up and down the field/court.&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;margin:0px;padding:0px\">\n <p>Ability to work evenings and nights and have ability on the weekends.&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;margin:0px;padding:0px\">\n <p><strong>Pay Rate</strong>: $ 16.00</p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;margin:0px;padding:0px\">\n <p><strong>Application Process</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n <p>Interested applicants must apply online at&nbsp;ithaca.edu/jobs&nbsp;and attach a resume and cover letter.
