    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">JOB TITLE</span>:</p>\n<p>SENIOR TECHNICAL SAFETY ENGINEER.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REPORTS TO:</span></p>\n<p>ENGINEERING MANAGER</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide technical/prcocess safety and general Health Safety and Environmental engineering support for surface production systems design, testing, pre-commissioning and start-up</li>\n<li>Check, Review and Approve process/technical safety documentation in assigned Project.</li>\n<li>Interface with Process/Technical safety counterpart in Contractor’s engineering team during the Engineering Phase of projects</li>\n<li>Ensure that Technical/Process safety-related Design is carried out in accordance with internal company standards and in line with national standards, recommended International Standards and best practices.</li>\n<li>Evaluation of contractors during prequalification and technical stages of a project and selection of best technical/economical solutions and products for process/technical safety systems</li>\n<li>promptly notify superior if a design change will lead to cost variation in a project and review requests for variation from contractor relevant to process design.</li>\n<li>Make input to cost estimate for projects.</li>\n<li>Partake site surveys and make input in the initial phases of projects, in design concept selection.</li>\n<li>Develop Project Specific Process/technical safety Documents for each new in-house Project ensuring that Flare radiation, noise and gas dispersion comply with relevant standards.</li>\n<li>Identify and assess process safety risks and related countermeasures in all the project phases.</li>\n<li>Undertake HAZOP/HAZID and other safety reviews/studies to verify the safety and operability of existing and new oil and gas facilities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">EDUCATION</span>:</p>\n<p>Degree in Mechanical/Chemical engineering.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Corporate member NSE/COREN</li>\n<li>Possess NEBOSH-HS55 certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">10 years of Oil &amp; Gas Industry experience</span><br></p>\n<p>7 years of practical Process/Technical Safety experience</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Quality &amp; Safety:</span> System Management Development &amp; Implementation, Audit &amp; Certification Activities, Guidelines &amp; Procedures Definitions, Law Compliance Analysis &amp; Assessment, Due Diligence &amp; Permitting, Risk Assessment, HAZOP &amp; HAZID, Technical Specs &amp; Standards Definitions, Information &amp; Training, Technical Safety Data Management, Modelling &amp; Reporting., Emergency Planning, Design / Process Review, Contractors Specs, Qualification &amp; Auditing, Customer Satisfaction <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">HSEQ General:</span> Preparation of Project Quality Plan <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Environment &amp; Geodyn.:</span> Work Environment Monitoring <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Health &amp; Radiation Protection:</span> Ergonomic &amp; Human Factor Review</p>",
