The ideal candidate is energetic, self-motivated, organized, competent, and professional.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Pay Range: $18-$40 an hour. Pay is depending on skill level. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why work for H&K Group, Inc.? </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience</li>\n <li>100% Company-paid Health Benefits</li>\n <li>401(k) Savings and Investment Plan</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement programs available to qualifying employees for approved programs</li>\n <li>Additional training programs including on the job, online through H&K Academy, manufacturer offered training, and more</li>\n <li>Company vehicle</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform all work adhering to OSHA, PA and DoT regulations, and H&K Safety policies</li>\n <li>Drive to various locations in the Western PA regions for work.</li>\n <li>Reviews job orders and observes and listens to equipment in operators/truck drivers/shop leaders to determine malfunction and to plan work procedures.</li>\n <li>Identify parts for repairs or replacement for all systems on equipment/trucks when needed.</li>\n <li>Examines protective guards, loose bolts and specified safety devices on equipment/trucks and makes adjustments.</li>\n <li>Dismantles equipment/trucks to examine parts for defect or to remove defective part.</li>\n <li>Replaces defective part with new part or repairs or reproduces part from various kinds of metal.</li>\n <li>Assembles and test operates machine or test drive trucks to verify correction of malfunction and to confirm that it meets manufactures specifications.</li>\n <li>Overhauls gas or diesel engines.</li>\n <li>Performs diagnostics through the use of computers and carious equipment.</li>\n <li>Performs front end inspection and alignments.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR relevant experience and/or training</li>\n <li>Clean driving record </li>\n <li>Customer Service and Teamwork</li>\n <li>General computer knowledge as well as caterpillar software (ET &SIS)</li>\n <li>Ability to use mechanics hand tools, torch, and welder</li>\n <li>Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed</li>\n <li>Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Related experience and/or training</li>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution</li>\n <li>Technical school or college in the heavy equipment field</li>\n <li>Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries</li>\n <li>CDL A</li>\n <li>OSHA, MSHA, or other relevant safety certifications</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Occasionally required to stand, walk, or sit\n  <ul>\n   <li>Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl</li>\n   <li>Drive up to two hours</li>\n   <li>Use hands to finger or feel</li>\n   <li>Talk and hear</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Occasional exposure to \n  <ul>\n   <li>Moving parts</li>\n   <li>Fumes and airborne particles</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Noise level is loud at times</li>\n <li>At times required to work outdoors in all environments</li>\n <li>Hours regularly exceed 40 hours a week and 8 hours a day</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>H&K </strong>provides complete heavy civil contracting and construction materials solutions with safety, speed, quality, efficiency, and value.
