    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>WSP is currently initiating a search for an Intermediate Transmission Line Engineer for our Hailey, ID office. &nbsp;Be involved in projects with our Power Delivery Hailey Line Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients’ objectives and solves their challenges. &nbsp;</p><h2>This Opportunity</h2><p>In this role, you will support the engineering, analysis, and design of high voltage overhead transmission lines, working under the guidance of experienced engineers within WSP’s Power &amp; Energy business. And we need your help.<br>&nbsp;</p><h2>Your Impact</h2><p>As an Early Career Overhead Transmission Line Engineer, you will:</p><ul><li>Technical Design &amp; Analysis<ul><li>Assist with PLSCADD modeling for line layout, spotting, and structure analysis.</li><li>Prepare design calculations for structures, foundations, conductor systems, and line components.</li><li>Support development of plan &amp; profile drawings, structure loading trees, material lists, and construction packages.</li><li>Evaluate route constraints, design criteria, clearances, terrain conditions, and reliability requirements.</li><li>Support QA/QC processes for drawings, calculations, and deliverables.</li></ul></li><li>Project Support &amp; Coordination<ul><li>Assist in preparing engineering reports, permit exhibits, and cost estimates.</li><li>Participate in internal design reviews and interdisciplinary coordination (civil, environmental, substation, geotech).</li><li>Perform occasional field reviews or site visits to support engineering validations.</li></ul></li><li>Professional Growth &amp; Collaboration<ul><li>Engage in Early Career development tools including Career Compass and mentorship programs. &nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with cross functional teams and contribute to a culture of safety, integrity, and technical excellence.&nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>Complete training on assigned tasks.</li><li>Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.</li><li>Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.</li></ul><h2>Who You Are</h2><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Civil/Structural/ Electrical Engineering, or closely related discipline.</li><li>1 to 3 years of relevant post education experience.</li><li>Excellent research skills with analytical mindset.</li><li>Familiarity with process and concepts for design/build. &nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity with relevant mechanical system and construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.</li><li>Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.</li><li>Proficient self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.</li><li>Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.</li><li>Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.</li><li>Familiarity with discipline-specific design software (i.e., AutoCAD, CAM).</li><li>Strong interest in transmission line engineering and electric utility infrastructure.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced consulting environment.</li><li>Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without need for future sponsorship.&nbsp;</li><li>Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.</li><li>Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.</li><li>Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Engineer in Training Certification.</li><li>Prior internship related to the degree of study and the specific engineering discipline.</li><li>A member of and/or actively participate in local professional practice organizations.</li><li>Coursework in structural analysis, steel/wood/concrete design, foundations, soils, surveying, or power systems.</li><li>Familiarity with engineering software such as PLSCADD, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or MATHCAD.</li></ul><p><strong>Disclaimer:</strong></p><ul><li>Relocation assistance is not available for this role.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>#LI-AN2<br>&nbsp;</p>",
