    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Accounting Manager to lead complex accounting operations related to healthcare facility and provider contracts, with a focus on Non-Claim Benefit Expenses (NCBE), Medical Loss Ratio (MLR) impacts, self-funded group billings, and provider risk arrangements within our Controllership organization (Enterprise Accounting). This role requires a strong technical accounting foundation, deep understanding of GAAP and healthcare statutory principles, and proven leadership in managing teams and collaborating across departments and executive leadership.</p><p>The ideal candidate will bring a blend of analytical rigor, operational excellence, and interpersonal effectiveness to drive governance, accuracy, and efficiency in high-risk accounting areas.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Lead and oversee accounting for facility and provider contracts with unique risk and NCBE structures, ensuring compliance with GAAP and healthcare statutory requirements.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Establish and maintain governance frameworks for risk and NCBE accounting, ensuring complete, accurate, and timely financial reporting.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Develop and implement standardized, centralized, and controlled processes for high-risk accounting areas, driving operational efficiency and internal control.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the assigned accounting team, including staffing, development, performance management, and labor relations.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Serve as a key liaison with internal stakeholders, including actuarial, senior health services, finance, legal, and executive leadership, to ensure alignment and transparency in financial reporting.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Deliver timely and accurate financial results and insights to internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and senior leadership.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Identify and monitor performance metrics that support departmental and organizational strategic goals.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Provide strategic solutions to complex accounting and business challenges, leveraging data and cross-functional collaboration.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Continuously improve operational policies and procedures to uphold sound business practices and robust internal controls.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Lead and support special projects, audits, and initiatives as assigned.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Champion a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the accounting team.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">CPA, CMA, or CFM certification strongly preferred.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Minimum of 6–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Demonstrated expertise in GAAP and healthcare statutory accounting principles.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Experience with healthcare contract accounting, including risk-based arrangements and NCBE.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Strong leadership and team management skills, including experience with union and non-union environments.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Proficiency in financial systems and tools, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP platforms.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.</li></ul><div><i>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to, among other grounds, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, gender identity, protected veteran status or status as an individual with a disability.</i></div>",
