    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div id=\"isPasted\"><p>Title: Resident Rotation or Continuity Clinic&nbsp;</p><p>Location: variable</p><p>Status: full-time unpaid</p><p>Eligible: &nbsp;Residents (PGY)</p><p>Christ Community Health Services provides opportunities for residents in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or OB-GYN to gain clinical experience working in a challenging yet rewarding setting.&nbsp;</p><p>Resident opportunities include:</p><p data-pasted=\"true\">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;1) Visiting elective rotations, typically 2 to 4 weeks duration, or</p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;2) Longitudinal continuity clinic, typically as part of established program partnerships</p><p><br></p><p>APPLICATION CYCLE - please note deadlines</p><p>Rotation Start Dates January 1 - April 30</p><p>- Application deadline is July 15 of previous calendar year</p><p>- Committee meets to review applications 1st week of August</p><p>- Students hear back in early September</p><p><br></p><p>Rotation Start Dates May 1- July 31</p><p>- Application deadline is November 15 of previous calendar year</p><p>- Committee meets to review applications 1st week of December</p><p>- Students hear back in early January</p><p><br></p><p>Rotation Start Dates August 1 - December 31</p><p>- Application deadline is February 15</p><p>- Committee meets to review applications 1st week of March</p><p>- Students/Residents hear back in early April</p><p><br></p><p><u>POSITION SUMMARY</u></p><p>Experience healthcare for urban underserved setting, as you work alongside a preceptor in the context of distinctively Christian service. Learn what it looks like to point to Jesus as both the source of ability and the true healer, by incorporating spiritual practices into healthcare. Rotation includes opportunities to participate in-office procedures.</p><p><br></p><p><u>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</u></p><p>Work in clinic at least 150hrs (full-time for 4wks only)</p><p>Take a focused history</p><p>Perform a focused physical examination</p><p>Present/document pertinent findings</p><p>Assist with medical procedures (as requested)</p><p>Accompany preceptor to hospital nursery (depending on preceptor)</p><p>Shadow at least 2hrs with a Spiritual Health Advisor</p><p><br></p><p><u>POSITION REQUIREMENTS</u></p><p>Education: enrollment in a medical degree program (MD).</p><p>Skills/abilities: prolonged concentration despite multiple distractions in a fast-paced environment required; prolonged standing and maneuvering within small exam rooms required (most locations); adherence to universal, bloodborne, airborne, and sterile precautions required. EHR experience is highly beneficial, especially a familiarity with eClinicalWorks.</p><p>Licenses/certifications: HIPAA training verification and BLS required; PALS preferred.</p><p><br></p><p><u>OTHER REQUIREMENTS</u></p><p>Affiliation agreement between organization and program (if not already established)</p><p>Background check and drug screen (or documentation if recently completed elsewhere)</p><p>Current government-issued ID, plus wearable badge (temporary badge available if needed)</p><p>Signed confidentiality, liability and media consent forms</p><p>Immunization records including TB, HBV, and Flu (depending on season)</p><p>Personal transportation for intra-day travel between facilities</p><p>Portable personal device (PC/Mac laptop or Apple tablet)</p><p>Rotation must be for credit in an educational program</p></div></div></div>\n",
