Our technologies are shaping the production and people-related ecosystems to become increasingly connected and autonomous — ensuring a scalable, sustainable future. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>As<strong> IP Protection Manager </strong>you will be responsible for these activities: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage our internal patent process, shepherding invention disclosure from internal submission through patent grant with our external counsel</li>\n <li>Liase with our internal engineering, research and development, and accounting/finance teams and external counsel</li>\n <li>Become thoroughly familiar with our patent portfolio and corporate strategy, and keep the portfolio aligned with the strategy.  </li>\n <li>Monitor the activities of competing parties in the marketplace, and provide regular summaries to management.</li>\n <li>Keep current on technology developments within Hexagon AS's space.  </li>\n <li>Work closely with product and engineering management to ensure appropriate IP protection for product lines and key technology areas.  </li>\n <li>Monitor spending, and plan activities within an annual budget</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Must Have:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>B.Sc. in engineering, applied mathematics or applied physics and 7 years of experience.</li>\n <li>Project management experience, >= 2 years experience</li>\n <li>Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, with audiences of varying technical knowledge</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Nice To Have:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong understanding of positioning and localization</li>\n <li>Able to comprehend descriptions of technical methods and do comparative analysis\\</li>\n <li>Geomatics specific knowledge</li>\n <li>Experience with patenting technology</li>\n <li>Programming ability - be able to read C/C++ or Matlab code</li>\n <li>Be able to read schematics</li>\n <li>M.Sc. in engineering, applied mathematics or applied physics and 5 years experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Key Success Factors:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Intellectually curious</li>\n <li>Inherently well organized, in your thoughts and your record keeping</li>\n <li>Self starter, able to work independently</li>\n <li>You care about your work - you get the big picture but are still dilligent about the details</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Not sure if you meet all the qualifications for this role?
