    "description": "<h2>Role Overview</h2>\n<p>Job Title: Inova Fairfax Hospital – Medical Director for Pediatric Cardiac AnesthesiologyOverview:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Medical Director - Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology</strong></p>\n<p>The Department of Anesthesiology at Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a board-certified <strong>Pediatric/Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist</strong> to lead, help grow and provide services in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology at Inova Children’s Heart Center. The prospective candidate will join a collaborative team of 5 pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists, 2 pediatric cardiac surgeons, 2 interventional cardiologists, and 2 pediatric electrophysiologists. The team on average performs 150 cardio-pulmonary bypass cases, 300 pediatric heart catheterizations, and 125 pediatric EP cases annually.</p>\n<p><strong>Anesthesiology Features </strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Pediatric Cardiac surgical cases include the complete spectrum of pediatric heart disease for cardiac and non-cardiac based procedures except heart transplantation</li>\n <li>Mixed practice (pediatric/adult) with a majority of pediatric cardiac and pediatric general cases</li>\n <li>Other cases may include the entire spectrum of pediatric and adult surgical cases (general, ENT, ortho, neurosurgery, ophtho, dental, urology, GE and OB)</li>\n <li>Participation in call rotation </li>\n <li>Work with a team of 60+ Anesthesiologists, most with fellowship training (Pediatric, Adult Cardiac, Obstetric, and Pain)</li>\n <li>Solo or care team model with CRNAs</li>\n <li>Academic appointment opportunities available through the University of Virginia. Further, educational opportunities include ability to work with medical students and residents (UVA and Walter Reed).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>MD or DO from an accredited university medical school, completed ACGME residency training and subsequent fellowship</li>\n <li>ABA certification in Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology</li>\n <li>Comprehensive experience in pediatric cardiac anesthesia</li>\n <li>Licensure: Current or eligibility for an unrestricted Virginia state medical license and DEA</li>\n <li>Prior leadership experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Compensation</strong></p>\n<p>This position offers a nationally competitive compensation package<strong>, </strong>based on experience and includes a generous incentive package with a sign on bonus, yearly quality and performance incentives, possible non-clinical time for leadership position and more.
