As a School Psychologist Contractor, you can provide essential services and expertise on a contractual basis. Your role will involve supporting students, parents, and teachers in addressing academic, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges and contributing to our students' overall well-being and success.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>Location:</span></p>\n<p><span>Hacienda - La Puente Unified School District</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> Duties/Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct comprehensive assessments: Administer and interpret various psychological and educational assessments to identify students' strengths, weaknesses, and specific learning needs.</li>\n<li>Provide intervention strategies: Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address academic, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with stakeholders: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement appropriate student support plans.</li>\n<li>Support special education process: Participate in the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process by providing assessment data, attending meetings, and contributing to developing appropriate goals and services.</li>\n<li>Counseling and guidance: Provide individual and group counseling to students, focusing on social-emotional development, conflict resolution, and coping skills.</li>\n<li>Crisis intervention: Offer immediate support during crises, such as student emergencies or traumatic events, by providing counseling, coordinating resources, and implementing safety plans.</li>\n<li>Consultation and training: Provide consultation and professional development to teachers and staff on behavior management, effective learning strategies, and mental health awareness.</li>\n<li>Data analysis and reporting: Collect and analyze data to track student progress, evaluate program effectiveness, and generate reports as required.</li>\n<li>Stay current with best practices: Keep up-to-date with research and best practices in school psychology, and incorporate this knowledge into your work.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Education: A master's degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.</li>\n<li>Certification: Hold a valid Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Psychology issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.</li>\n<li>Experience: Previous experience working as a School Psychologist, preferably in an educational setting.</li>\n<li>Knowledge: Strong understanding of psychological assessment and intervention techniques, special education laws and regulations, and ethical guidelines for professional practice.</li>\n<li>Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.</li>\n<li>Empathy and compassion: Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships with students and provide support in a caring and empathetic manner.</li>\n<li>Problem-solving skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess complex situations and provide appropriate interventions.</li>\n<li>Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing needs and work effectively in a fast-paced educational environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>Job Type:</span><span> W-2</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>Salary:</span><span> $55- $65 per hour</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>Join our team as a School Psychologist Contractor and contribute your expertise to impact students' lives positively.
