We value the cultural richness that our diverse workforce brings to the care of our equally diverse population of patients and residents.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Your Day to Day:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Installs and modifies plumbing fixtures and systems (taps, sinks, toilets) by extending or altering water supply and waste lines and fitting pipes.</li>\n <li>Performs electrical and mechanical repairs on equipment such as autoclaves, washers, sterilizers, and dryers by repairing or replacing drive units, motors, control valves, seals, bearings, and related components.</li>\n <li>Constructs, installs, and repairs building components including shelves, cupboards, countertops, walls, doors, floors, ceilings, and windows using framing, drywall, wood paneling, wall protection, and floor and ceiling coverings.</li>\n <li>Designs and builds custom furniture such as desks and tables to meet operational needs.</li>\n <li>Completes plastering, painting, and finishing work using a variety of paints, plasters, and wall coverings.</li>\n <li>Hangs and installs fixtures and accessories including bulletin boards, cupboards, bookshelves, pictures, towel dispensers, and soap dispensers.</li>\n <li>Carries out minor renovations, roof repairs, and small-scale construction demolitions.</li>\n <li>Establishes, monitors, and maintains preventative maintenance programs for related equipment; recommends repairs and equipment purchases as required.</li>\n <li>Supervises Maintenance Workers and designated staff by scheduling and coordinating work assignments, evaluating performance, and identifying training and orientation needs.</li>\n <li>Maintains building shops, storage areas, and grounds by tidying workspaces, cleaning equipment, and disposing of materials according to established guidelines.</li>\n <li>Performs other related duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>About our Facilities, Maintenance and Operations (FMO) Team: </strong>Our FMO team at Providence Health Care plays a critical behind‑the‑scenes role in keeping hospital environments safe, reliable, and fully operational.
