Position Overview: The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is seeking a Grant Manager in the Grants Administration Division within the Department of Grant Compliance and Administration. The position will serve as the grant manager for assigned federal and/or state grant programs. This individual’s work involves implementing program, fiscal and legal aspects of grant programs; planning, managing, and monitoring grant funds; developing requests for applications; providing consultative services and technical assistance to stakeholders. The grant manager must be organized, detail oriented, and committed to providing outstanding customer service. The professional selected for this position will report to the Grant Manager Supervisor, will work under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment and is expected to help the division meet its performance goals and support the agency in fulfilling its strategic priorities. Flexible work location within the state of Texas may be considered for qualified candidates. Development of RFAs in a timely manner: oversee, develop, and evaluate timelines and grant application development to ensure publication of federal and state grants in a timely manner 3. Cross Functional Work: participate in cross-functional work groups composed of internal stakeholders to develop program objectives, work plans, budgets, and other related financial details of grant applications 4.
