    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong><u>Summary</u>&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">An Estimator prepares estimates for various projects, shares responsibility for cost accuracy with project team and assists other estimators and managers in all types of estimating tasks.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong><u>Duties &amp; Responsibilities</u>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Prepares estimates for potential projects, using hard-bid, design-build and conceptual estimating.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Reads and understands contract documents (plans, specifications &amp; addenda).</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Performs quantity take-offs, organizes and prices information.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Solicits bids and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Communicates with subs and suppliers to clarify pricing information.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Prepares estimate formats in such areas as general conditions, general bidding, quantity takeoffs and bid analysis.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Assists with the preparation of bid proposal for submittal.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Prepares outline schedules for proposed projects.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Assists staff members with various special projects related to estimating.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Performs other related duties as assigned or required.</li></ul><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><strong><u>Qualifications</u>&nbsp;</strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management related field, or equivalent education and experience.</span></li><li><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 5pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>Minimum of 6 years of experience estimating healthcare and/or industrial construction projects, including hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating.</strong></span></p></li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Excellent working knowledge of Timberline and Excel software.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Working knowledge of Microsoft Word.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Ability to operate office equipment, such as computer, printer, phone, copier, fax, etc.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Effective written and verbal communication skills.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Appropriate knowledge of construction practices and methods.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Primavera systems preferred.</span></li></ul><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><i>The full salary range for this position is $110,000 to $140,000.
