This position is available at our Dillon<strong> St. John's office.  </strong>We offer flexible work hours to help balance the competing demands of work and personal life.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>What your day will look like</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Project Management and Design</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Technical support and design on projects related to municipal infrastructure including water supply, sewers, roads, site servicing and storm water management</li>\n <li>Contribute technical expertise to functional design, detailed design and construction administration activities of multidisciplinary project teams</li>\n <li>Lead and support municipal infrastructure projects related to water supply, sewers, roads, site servicing and storm water management</li>\n <li>Regularly interact with project team members including planners, environmental scientists, engineers and technologists</li>\n <li>Maintain regular interaction with clients, agencies, utilities and other project stakeholders</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Business Development </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support the growth of the practice.  Support submissions in response to Requests for Proposals</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Travel to other Dillon offices, as required, to support project delivery and business development initiatives. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Learning & Development</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development</li>\n <li>Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior staff, supporting their career growth and development. </li>\n <li>Enhance Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>What you will need to succeed</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A degree in civil engineering, applicants with a Civil Engineering Technology diploma and substantial, relevant experience will also be considered</li>\n <li>Licensed to practice as a professional engineer, or eligible to be licensed within six months</li>\n <li>5+ years' professional experience, preferably in the consulting industry</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experienced in the design of various municipal infrastructure including water supply systems, sewage systems, roadways, storm water management works, underground and surface site servicing works, and/or waste management facilities</li>\n <li>Experience in the design of linear water and sewer and treatment  infrastructure in northern Canadian communities would be an asset.</li>\n <li>In depth knowledge of contract administration services and requirements, including Master Municipal Construction Documents</li>\n <li>Familiarity with municipal servicing standards and environmental approvals requirements</li>\n <li>Demonstrated skills in public and agency consultation</li>\n <li>Strong proficiency in proposal and report writing, presentations, communications, organization and interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills are essential</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience related to business development and client retention.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Why choose Dillon</u></strong></p>\n<p>Dillon is powered by people who are technically proficient, passionate about socially important projects, and motivated to deliver superior, tangible results.
