font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold\">Job Description – Fulfillment of Mission</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">The Roger Bacon Academy is an education management organization that manages multiple award-winning public charter schools in southeastern North Carolina including Classical Charter Schools of Leland that serves students in grades K - 8.   We are seeking outstanding applicants for a Maintenance Worker.  </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold\">Maintenance – Job Responsibilities </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold\">Purpose:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">A Maintenance worker performs a variety of manual activities including cleaning and maintaining buildings.  The employee performs a variety of duties in accordance with established practices and cleaning schedules.  </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold\">Duties and Responsibilities: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Moves and arranges furniture both for classrooms as well as general purpose rooms/auditorium.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Assembles furniture upon arrival as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Assists with installation of HVAC units located throughout the building.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Performs roof repairs with appropriate materials to prevent leakage in building.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Transports curriculum orders and classroom supplies to designated locations, as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Performs plumbing repairs including replacing toilets and urinals.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\"> Scrubs, dusts, sweeps, mops, vacuums, waxes and polishes floors in rooms, hallways and closets. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\"> Washes windows, woodwork, walls and other surfaces. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\"> Scrubs and cleans rest room fixtures. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\"> Maintains inventory, control of supplies and maintenance of equipment to operate interior maintenance. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\"> Replenishes tissue, towels, and soap in rest rooms, kitchens and classroom facilities. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\"> Replaces light bulbs and florescent tubes. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\"> Polices all trash and debris inside and on the grounds.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\"> Lawn, flower bed and external landscaping.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\"> Ensure sidewalks and external entrances clear of debris and safe for students and guests.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\"> General cleanliness and repair of ceilings, windows, walls, floors, and desks. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\"> Empties wastebaskets and other refuse receptacles. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\"> Locks and unlocks doors and gates. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\"> Sorts and stores material for recycling program. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\"> Makes minor repairs to furniture or facilities. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\"> Some knowledge of procedures to operate heating and air conditioning equipment. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\"> Skill in the use of small equipment used in routine cleaning and landscaping. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
