    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><br></p><h1 id=\"isPasted\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Job Summary:</span></h1><p>Installation and Support Technicians are critical to deliver on i3&#39;s promise of the world&#39;s most advanced internet, television, and voice services with the industry&#39;s best customer service. Installation &amp; Support Technicians focus primarily on new installations of our cable television and broadband services. Technicians represent i3 every day to our customers, often in the customer&rsquo;s home, performing a variety of duties including installation, changes of service, additional outlet installation, disconnection of service, payment collection, and any special requests customers may have regarding installation or use of services.</p><h2><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Duties/Responsibilities:</span></h2><ul><li>Makes customer drop installations (exterior and interior) complete from tap to antenna terminals on customer equipment in customer dwellings.&nbsp;</li><li>Performs new connects, reconnects, requested and non-pay disconnects; adds outlets; installs and/or removes converters; performs upgrades and downgrades of service.&nbsp;</li><li>Analyzes picture quality and judges acceptability of picture delivered following installation of cable service.&nbsp;</li><li>Uses connectors, fasteners, and wire, and uses customary CATV hand and power tools in performance of job duties.&nbsp;</li><li>Reads signal levels through use of field strength meter; adds and subtracts levels in installation problems; installs connectors on different types of drop cable; maintains proper clearances; installs tap-off devices.&nbsp;</li><li>Properly uses, stores and maintains a VOM or DMM to check for &quot;open&quot; or &quot;short&quot; on line as well as AC and DC voltages.&nbsp;</li><li>Reads general drop system layouts from blueprints.&nbsp;</li><li>Inform customers of FCC Rules and company policies.&nbsp;</li><li>Completes appropriate paperwork / system logs as required.&nbsp;</li><li>Performs vehicle upkeep and maintenance to keep company vehicles clean, fueled and in good working order; reports problems promptly.&nbsp;</li><li>Performs clean-up or salvage of wrecked materials.</li><li>Generate additional company revenue through effective sales techniques and by offering information about product options, sales campaigns and promotions.&nbsp;</li><li>Provides assistance to other team members or performs other duties as directed.</li></ul><p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Required Skills/Abilities:&nbsp;</span></strong></p><ul><li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Results oriented and self-motivated.</li><li>Ability to recognize, analyze, and effectively solve problems in a timely and organized manner.</li><li>Positive, can-do attitude.&nbsp;</li><li>Preference for hands-on work.</li><li>Inquisitive and analytical with a passion for technology.</li><li>Must be computer proficient, and have a basic understanding of consumer electronics.</li><li>Delights in providing excellent customer satisfaction.&nbsp;</li><li>Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor.&nbsp;</li><li>Willingness and desire to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality results.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be available to work occasional overtime and some nights (as needed).</li><li>Clean driving record required.&nbsp;</li><li>Willing to train, accept feedback, and learn the job according to i3 standards.</li></ul><h2><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Education and Experience:</span></h2><ul><li>No prior experience is necessary, however any demonstrated interest or aptitude for hands-on work, physical work, or working with cable or electrical components is preferred.&nbsp;</li><li>Prior telephone, cable, or electrical experience is preferred.</li><li>Must have a clean driving record and the ability to pass a criminal background check.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><h2><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Physical Requirements:</span></h2><ul><li>Must be able to work outdoors, and in all weather conditions.</li><li>Must be able to walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds.</li><li>Better than average manual dexterity to work with connectors, fasteners and wire and use hand tools.</li><li>Visual acuity, especially when working with small components at a close visual range.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability and comfort to works within limited confines, such as crawl spaces.</li><li>Ability to climb utility poles or work from high spaces with or without the assistance of a bucket truck, while adhering to safety rules/regulations and with proper rigging/climbing equipment.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><h2><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Equal Opportunity:</span></h2><p><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\">i3 Broadband is an equal opportunity workplace that respects the diversity of our customer base and our team.
