Description

Description Under the supervision of the ChemCentral Team Lead or Supervisor, the Junior Chemical Management Specialist will work as part of a team to maintain a comprehensive chemical management program across multiple UCSF campuses. Duties include receiving and unpackaging chemicals; adding chemicals to inventories using handheld scanners; barcoding chemical containers and entering information such as chemical name, physical state, & container types into the inventory system using a mobile app; delivering chemicals to laboratories; providing technical support and ad hoc training to end users of the purchasing system; and conducting routine reconciliation of both stockroom and laboratory chemical inventories, The job requires attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed standard operating procedures. Strong commitment to customer service is required.
