Then make AIT Worldwide Logistics the next stop on your career ladder! </p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>As the <strong>Branch Manager</strong>, you ensure an optimal and smooth operational execution in your area of responsibility,  are accountable for the local P&L, leadership, and operational oversight in your respective Branch. You ensure best in class, quality service, customer compliance, satisfaction and operational proficiency that results in growth and profitability, meeting the country strategic goals and objectives. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Management of the Branch in organizational and technical terms.</li>\n <li>Ensuring personnel and operational planning</li>\n <li>Support and consulting of customers and agents on best-in-class solutions</li>\n <li>Ensuring the smooth and on time processing of all shipments</li>\n <li>Acquisition of new customers in consultation with Sales</li>\n <li>Preparation of offers and calculations</li>\n <li>Handling customer correspondence</li>\n <li>Prepare regular reports on business performance, financial results, and market insights for senior management and communicate in line with the regional Communication Matrix.</li>\n <li>Review analysis of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward stated business development goals and objectives. </li>\n <li>Review and evaluate stations P&L performance and establish short term goals to address any budgetary shortfalls. </li>\n <li>Recruitment of employees and conducting job interviews</li>\n <li>Onboarding, evaluation, training, and development of employees</li>\n <li>Preparation of budgets for the Branch, as well as adherence of the budget</li>\n <li>Implementation and maintenance of the safety system </li>\n <li>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management</li>\n <li>Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (as applicable).</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>5+ years experience in a similar role.</li>\n <li>3-5 years applied experience of freight forwarding / logistics high value commodities.</li>\n <li>Maintain a high level of professionalism along with extreme discretion with all information at all times.</li>\n <li>Customer service focus - we serve a wide variety of customers, both internal and external, and building relationships is part of our culture!</li>\n <li>Resolves complex and non-routine problems with independent action and specialized knowledge.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate ability to recognize process improvement opportunities and effectively communicate & implement change.</li>\n <li>Utilizes established procedures but decides action within task and exercises judgement within defined practices.</li>\n <li>Must be able to perform in a fast pace / high volume work environment.</li>\n <li>Problem solving and attention to detail.</li>\n <li>Contribute actively to a healthy and secure work environment and continuous improvement of culture.</li>\n <li>Quality first mindset.</li>\n <li>Fluent oral and written English and Dutch is a must.</li>\n <li><p>VGB security clearance (or the ability to obtain it) is required for this position</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About AIT Worldwide</h2>\n<p>AIT Worldwide Logistics is a global freight forwarding company headquartered in Chicago USA.
