Sargent & Lundy offers challenge, flexibility, competitive salaries and benefits.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are currently seeking a Procurement Specialist!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Essential duties and responsibilities for the Procurement Specialist include, but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage and administer the subcontract life cycle process for assigned projects</li>\n <li>Support S&L clients in their procurement processes</li>\n <li>Draft, assemble and issue request for proposal (RFP) packages to suppliers / subcontractors</li>\n <li>Negotiate and finalize terms and conditions, including those related to indemnities, warranties, liabilities, pricing, schedule, etc.</li>\n <li>Create purchase orders in Client or S&L’s internal vendor management systems</li>\n <li>Track material orders, deliveries in vendor management systems</li>\n <li>Expedite suppliers / subcontractors / engineering input, as appropriate</li>\n <li>Coordinate and work closely with engineering project managers, suppliers, contractors, subcontractors and client personnel</li>\n <li>Assist in evaluation of proposals from suppliers / subcontractors</li>\n <li>Perform risk assessments on potential and existing subcontracts</li>\n <li>Monitor and evaluate contract performance</li>\n <li>Record keeping / document control with audit involvement</li>\n <li>Processing vendor invoices for payment</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with the expectation of 3 days in our Chicago, IL office and 2 days working remotely from home.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Essential skills and experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree </li>\n <li>Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and/or contract administration</li>\n <li>Strong written, verbal, & people communication skills</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with project managers, engineers, clients, suppliers and contractors as necessary</li>\n <li>MS Office Suite proficiency</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Valued but not required skills and experience: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Power industry experience supporting large power generation, substation or transmission line projects</li>\n <li>CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) and/or C.P.M (Certified Purchasing Manager) designation</li>\n <li>Experience with Workday and MS Outlook</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Award-Winning Benefits</h2>\n<p>At Sargent & Lundy, we care about the health and well-being of our employees.
