The successful applicant will have overall responsibility and accountability for the system administration team and infrastructure operations. They will also act as the technical point of escalation within the team, and create work plans and optimization initiatives. This role will work closely with Heads of Development and Development teams Globally.  The role r<span style=\"color: black\">equires someone with a deep understanding of wireless technologies including Wi-Fi and cellular networks (LTE, HSPA+, WCDMA, GSM), Linux platforms, and infrastructure management. </span>This role requires an individual <span style=\"color: black\">with 5+ years of experience, who is flexible and able to travel to work on projects worldwide when needed. </span><span style=\"color: black\">The individual should also possess knowledge of server and storage infrastructure products, virtualization technologies, cloud services and networking principles.<br></span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><br></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">This can be a hybrid role based in our Newcastle, UK office or remote in the UK, with travel to our office on occasion throughout the year. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">About Nomad Digital:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Nomad Digital is the world's leading provider of passenger and fleet connectivity solutions to the railway industry. font-size: 12pt\">·       Oversee and ensure control of all product and configuration releases to project environments.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">·       Oversee the Performance of the System Admin team and ensure all escalations are managed effectively, in a timely manner. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">·       Oversee projects and operational datacenters for all product upgrades and general releases.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">·       Ability to diagnose faults and offer solutions across a broad range of IT and communication systems with an emphasis on Linux environments, Virtualization, Security and networking.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">·       Implement and support complex solutions in diverse system environments.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">·       Configuration management and task automation within self-managed and managed cloud environments. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">·       IP network configuration.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">·       Where appropriate create documentation for both internal and external use.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">·       Adhere to all system audit requirements as appropriate.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">·       Troubleshooting network issues.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">·       Implement automation and logging systems.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">·       Sizing of solutions to match the project objectives</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">·       Oversee the handover to client or in-house support staff including training.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">·       Complete overall departmental objectives set by the Technical Director on time and within scope to ensure all the team is fully supported and departmental goals are reached.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">·       Proactively identify and exceed customer expectations to ensure a customer-focused service is always provided.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">·       Operate within the guidelines of the role and recognize when it is appropriate to escalate matters within the team to ensure the level of customer service is maintained.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span>·       Work in close collaboration with procurement &amp; finance on ensuring datacentres are cost effective and managed against current SLAs.</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif;
