As an ACC Plus Handler, you'll be in charge of keeping our more delicate guests safe, happy, and healthy! From supervising wellness activities to administering meds and ensuring top-notch care, every day will be an adventure. You'll work closely with a team to provide individualized attention to dogs of all kinds and help them thrive during their stay. Plus, you’ll play a key role in training new staff and making sure each dog has the best experience!<br><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">*This position involves caring for post-operative and special needs dogs. Veterinary Technician/Assistant experience a must</span>.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Schedule is 10:00 pm to 5:00 am</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide post-operative care as prescribed by the client’s veterinarian</li>\n<li>Administer medications correctly and on time. This includes giving insulin as required.</li>\n<li>Maintain detailed and accurate health records for each dog.</li>\n<li>Feed each dog according to their provided instructions</li>\n<li>Ensure that each dog is comfortable in their housing area</li>\n<li>Exercise each dog as outlined in their treatment plan.</li>\n<li>Maintain and clean all ACC PLUS areas, following all facility cleaning protocols</li>\n<li>Provide enrichment activities if included in the treatment plan</li>\n<li>Communicate all issues with the Shift Supervisor and the ACC PLUS Team</li>\n<li>Complete all provided training to include Pack Pro Dog handling and Hands On training</li>\n<li>Other Duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Veterinary Technician/Assistant required</li>\n<li>Must be able to stand for prolonged periods without a break.</li>\n<li>Able to lift 50-60 pounds, bend and squat repeatedly</li>\n<li>Work with cleaning chemicals safely</li>\n<li>Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.</li>\n<li>Must be able to use the computer to communicate, input data.</li>\n<li>Ability to stay calm under pressure</li>\n<li>High attention to detail and critical thinking skills</li>\n</ul>",
