    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\">The Assistant Teacher is responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher in instructing children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth and help provide an environment where children can have the opportunity to develop the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills necessary for success in their educational future.</p><p><strong>Positions available:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Monday through Friday, 2:30pm-5:30pm</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits include:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Paid Time off, in addition to paid holidays</li><li>Annual evaluation increases</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Consult tools and trainings to execute standard CDC initiatives, i.e., play plans and intentional play.</li><li>Maintain an effective level of high-quality verbal engagement all day with the children.</li><li>Manage day-to-day classroom activities, including Creative Curriculum, intentional play, bathroom breaks, meals, etc. as opportunities for significant interactions with the children.</li><li>Implement brain-based techniques from the CDC research base and in-house specialists to effectively assist children with self-regulation and classroom behaviors.</li><li>Participate in the CDC literacy initiative for emergent writing and reading by supporting the children&rsquo;s development and progress with successful literacy strategies.</li><li>Ensure the classroom and all equipment are clean, well-maintained, and safe.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications/ Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience working directly with children.</li><li>Superior communication, decision-making, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must be able to stand for long periods throughout the workday with intermittent periods of sitting, walking, and occasional bending, twisting, stooping, reaching and grasping as necessary to carry out essential job duties.</li><li>Dexterity requirements range from coordinated movements of fingers and hands to simple movements of feet, legs, and torso as necessary to carry out essential job duties.&nbsp;</li><li>Lifting and carrying of children and/or objects up to 50 pounds</li></ul><p><br>&nbsp;</p><p>At Child Development Centers Inc., we are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy (including childbirth, lactation, and related medical conditions), national origin, age, physical and mental disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information (including characteristics and testing), military and veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
