Plans, organizes and implements department policies and procedures. Performs multiple responsibilities including but not limited to menu planning, personnel management, development, training and evaluation of systems and processes to achieve department goals.  Assures compliance with standard practices and regulatory requirements.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Specific Duties</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Initiates, schedules, directs and controls the daily operation of the food service department through supervision of the department supervisors.</li>\n <li>Selects and orients/trains, schedules and assigns staff. Evaluates performance, and recommends personnel actions such as merit increases, promotions and disciplinary actions.</li>\n <li>Plans, coordinates and provides individualized patient nutrition care.</li>\n <li>Plans modified and specialized diets.
