Description
Position Purpose
The Director serves as the Integrator for the Hume Center, overseeing the administrative and operational functions of the Executive Office. By managing meeting coordination, documentation, and day-to-day follow-through, this role enables the CEO (& President)—who also serves as Chief of Community Mental Health (CCMH)—to focus on organizational mission, clinical vision, strategic growth, and leadership development.
The Director supports the Executive Team by ensuring operational continuity, facilitating communication, and helping move key initiatives forward. This structure also allows the CCMH to prioritize clinical leadership, peer consultation with senior clinical leaders, regulatory compliance, program innovation, and the continued development of services that meet the evolving needs of the communities Hume Center serves.
Key Responsibilities:
Executive Office Operations
Own the weekly Executive Team (ET) meeting cycle: agendas, facilitation, documentation, and action-item follow-through
Facilitate weekly tactical meetings with VPs and Senior Leaders to drive operational alignment
Support the CEO and Board Secretary on all board-related logistics, materials, and official records
Coordinate the CEO's participation in monthly Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meetings and the Professional Leadership Group (PLG)
Partner with the Corporate Office Manager to streamline executive calendar management and complex scheduling
Project Management & Strategic Initiatives
Lead project management for new proposals, growth initiatives, and strategic projects tied to the Growth & Evidence Pillar
Oversee administrative staff supporting Research & Development — ensuring grant timelines and deliverables stay on track
Serve as liaison between the Executive Office, CFO, and Contracts to advance high-priority agreements and compliance milestones
Supervision & Organizational Effectiveness
Directly supervise the Office Manager and assigned administrative staff; foster a collaborative, responsive team culture
Build and maintain operational playbooks and procedures for the Executive Office
Manage the organization's Master Matrix — tracking QA corrective actions and preparing executive updates
Serve as a trusted coordination point for workplace concerns requiring executive or HR escalation
Uphold the 24-Hour Rule: meeting materials submitted at least 24 hours in advance
Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, Public, or Behavioral Health Administration, Organizational Development, or related field
4-8 years in executive operations, project management, or organizational leadership
Proven experience supporting C-suite or senior leadership teams
Strong skills in organization, communication, and cross-functional coordination
Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and project/work management platforms
Comfort leveraging AI tools to improve operational efficiency and administrative workflows
Preferred
Master's degree in a related field
Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or behavioral health settings
PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification
Demonstrated experience integrating AI and automation into executive or administrative operations
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $130-160k (commensurate with experience)

Generous PTO and paid holidays
Ongoing professional development and training
Employee wellness and mental health support resources
Opportunities for advancement in a growing, mission-driven organization
