    "description": "<p><span>Position Summary</span><br></p>\n<p><span>Responsible for providing daily classroom activities designed to provide children with a wide variety of developmental experiences.  Duties shall include, but are not limited to, the following:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Specific Job Duties</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Implement comprehensive curriculum plans with activities appropriate to the age and ability level of the group.</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain compliance with all NC Day Care licensing regulations (ITERS/ECERS), sanitation requirements, Head Start Performance Standards, DPI standards, NCPK regulations, CACFP regulations, and BRCA policies.</span></li>\n<li><span>Observe, document and report to supervisor significant behavior changes and health needs.</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain confidentiality of children’s and parents needs, progress, and records.</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain daily attendance, accurately noting reasons for absences.</span></li>\n<li><span>Provide a developmentally appropriate environment with positive teacher/child interaction.</span></li>\n<li><span>Keep anecdotal notes and/or weekly input of anecdotal notes in CC Net.</span></li>\n<li><span>Complete training as specified by the agency.</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain open and positive communication with parents.</span></li>\n<li><span>Participate in IEP/IFSP meetings, provide appropriate activities and implement IEP/IFSP goals and objectives for children with diagnosed disabilities.</span></li>\n<li><span>Complete monthly activity plans as required.</span></li>\n<li><span>Compute daily point of service records.</span></li>\n<li><span>Complete screenings as required.</span></li>\n<li><span>Complete an educational assessment on each child within 45 days of enrollment.</span></li>\n<li><span>Solicit non-federal donations as required in Head Start regulations and direction from Parent Involvement Manager.</span></li>\n<li><span>Follow up on irregular attendance with home visits and complete required documentation as required by BRCA and Head Start Performance Standards.</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain and submit accurate records and paperwork.</span></li>\n<li><span>Be flexible with working schedule and accept alternate assignments from supervisor.</span></li>\n<li><span>Assist with staff training.</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain 85% ADA.</span></li>\n<li><span>Conduct a minimum of 2 home visits and submit referrals based on documented family needs.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>Note:</span></p>\n<p><em>The duties and responsibilities herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the employee in this position. All duties are to be performed in conformance with agency policies and practices and applicable laws and regulations.</em></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>Education</span></p>\n<p>AA OR BA degree in Early Childhood Education</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Experience</span></p>\n<p><span>One (1) year verifiable day care experience with children birth-5 years old.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES</span></p>\n<p><span>Valid teaching license in Early Childhood content</span></p>\n<p><span>Must have a valid NC Drivers License</span></p>\n<p><span>  </span></p>\n<p><span>Other Requirements </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Employee must be able to work as a team.</span></li>\n<li><span>Employee must be able to relate well to a diverse population.</span></li>\n<li><span>Employee must be able to pass a criminal background record check and substance abuse tests.</span><br></li>\n</ul>",
