Clinical Lead-  Head of STRTP Youth Services On-site, Full-Time Exempt (40 hours per week) Position in Hayward, CA Who We Are Ruby's Place dba Restorative Pathways (RP) is an innovative nonprofit committed to ending domestic violence, human trafficking, and violent crime through hope, advocacy and connection. Our services include emergency shelter, transitional housing, rental subsidies, mental health services, substance recovery, and wrap-around services. All our services are trauma-sensitive and client-centered and are provided at no cost to our clients. All programs are low barrier. RP is led by survivors with a focus on reflection, innovation, and connection. We believe in fostering relationships, both in our direct service work and throughout our internal work culture. We aim to cultivate a workplace that appreciates and emphasizes the voices of those most impacted by violence. We recognize these voices are vital to interrupting the cycle of violence and transforming lives towards safety, unity, and trust. What You Will Do This position is primarily in-person at the STRTP facility and providing clinical services in the Milieu setting. In this role you will provide mental health services to our clients and help support the staff with psychoeducation and professional consultation as it pertains to mental health. As the Head of services you will collaborate with the facility manager, associate director of youth and family services and other stakeholders who provide services and support the clients. Responsibilities include Conducts clinical intakes of new clients using a trauma-sensitive approach and identifies service needs when appropriate. Assessment includes identifying presenting problems, psychosocial history, mental status exam, and DSM-5 diagnosis. Clinical interventions including: crisis interventions, individual and group psychotherapy. As the STRTP Head of Services you will be supporting all the clinical aspects of the program including supporting clients, adherence to all clinical guidelines of the STRTP program listed in the program statement, involvement in the Medi-cal and mental health certification process and all the other duties assigned by your supervisor. Clinical services also include short-term, trauma-sensitive individual and group psychotherapy as well as comprehensive clinical case management, liaison with other health care providers, and referral and accompaniment to community services when appropriate. Will facilitate family reunification sessions in collaboration with the case manager and county child welfare worker. Caseload consists of 6 complex clients, all of whom have histories of trauma, including acute and chronic physical and sexual abuse, and are victims of interpersonal violence such as sexual assault, physical assault, domestic violence, gunshot wounds, political torture, and immigration trauma. Many clients also have concurrent medical problems, psychosocial problems, and may have substance abuse problems as well. Developing curriculum for youth residing at STRTP program. Providing monthly training for the STRTP residential staff around the topics of crisis management and other requested topics per supervisors’ request. Provides consultation to a multidisciplinary treatment team on the psychosocial ramifications of trauma, substance abuse, psychiatric problems and chronic medical problems.  Develops a comprehensive treatment and service plan for each client, integrating knowledge from a wide range of human service resources. Facilitates coordination of services among various agencies; advocates for and links clients to needed services. Maintain client records according to California, City, and County requirements. Records data in client’s chart according to Medi-cal and CARF standards Meets program productivity standards; Completes productivity forms, clinical documentation and other documentation of services in a timely fashion. Assists in processing Quality Improvement requests. Assists in data collection for program evaluation and research purposes. Attends staff meetings and other assigned meetings, participates in training sessions (e.g. in services, grand rounds). Attends all the assigned meetings and/or any grant deliverable duties per request of other supervisors. Fill out a functional timesheet by assigned due dates in compliance with the time allocations. Actively participate in reflective supervision Other duties as assigned by your supervisor ● Able to complete all required background checks. Additional requirements may be deemed necessary, including fingerprinting (Live Scan), completion of all Community Care Licensing (CCL) documents, a suitability process through ORR and ability to meet CCL licensing requirements. ● Experience providing evidence-based mental health services to children and families required. ● Advanced knowledge of standards and regulations governing community mental health services and mental health care in a Milieu setting.. ● Advanced knowledge and training in trauma-sensitive, evidence-based intervention and assessment models for children and families. ● Ability to build strong teams to meet performance goals. ● Excellent oral and written communication skills. ● Ability to lead and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team of professionals. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES ● Possession of a valid license in Psychology ( LMFT, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, LPCC) issued by the California Board of Psychology. ● Experience working with trauma survivors from underserved populations, including young people of color, people who are homeless and/or chronically mentally ill, people from immigrant and refugee groups, and diverse populations.. ● Experience providing evidence-based, trauma focused mental health services to children and families ● Advanced knowledge of standards and regulations governing community mental health services and mental health care in a Milieu setting. ● Advanced knowledge and training in trauma-sensitive, evidence-based intervention and assessment models for children and families. ● Experience doing case management, outreach, and home visits. ● Must demonstrate cultural humility and a strengths-based, recovery philosophy. ● Ability to build strong teams to meet performance goals. ● Excellent oral and written communication skills. ● Ability to lead and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team of professionals. ● Excellent organizational and strong interpersonal skills. ● Demonstrated excellent attendance and reliability. ● DBT, trauma- focused cognitive processing and seeking safety. ● Able to complete all required background checks. Additional requirements may be deemed necessary, including fingerprinting (Live Scan), completion of all Community Care Licensing (CCL) documents, a suitability process through ORR and ability to meet CCL licensing requirements. Working Conditions This position is full- time in person. It is not eligible for hybrid work. You must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform physical activities, including lifting up to 25 pounds. You will be subject to frequent interruptions and must be able to multitask and handle stress. Local travel in the greater Bay Area may be required.
