This diverse range of structural engineering services helps improve mobility for the traveling public.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>VHB’s dynamic Massachusetts group is looking to add Structural design/engineers to its expanding and innovative team! This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse and impactful projects across the region. Utilize state-of-the-art tools and technologies to design and develop transformative transportation/ infrastructure solutions.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Learn more about our Bridge and Structures Engineering practice at VHB: Bridges & Structures | VHB</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work on major bridge and other complex transportation projects</li>\n <li>Provide technical support/mentorship to junior structural engineering staff</li>\n <li>Perform oversight of engineering design for bridges and other transportation infrastructure</li>\n <li>Prepare construction documents, including plans, specifications, estimates and calculation.</li>\n <li>Perform quality control reviews of project construction documents, engineering reports, etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and Attributes</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail</li>\n <li>AutoCAD Civil 3D experience</li>\n <li>Must possess strong project management and technical skills</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills</li>\n <li>Familiarity with bridge design and detailing (steel, concrete, prestressed concrete) and seismic analysis</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Mathcad and Excel for developing calculations packages. </li>\n <li>Familiarity with structural engineering software (AASHTOware, LARSA 4D, MDX, midas Bridge, Mathcad, etc.)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Bridge/Transportation projects required</li>\n <li>B.S. Civil Engineering (1-2 years may be substituted for a Master’s degree) </li>\n <li>EIT expected, PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Our best estimate of the salary range for this position located in Boston/Watertown, MA is $90,000-110,000.The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors such as individual qualifications, education, and experience.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Building what’s next, together.</strong></p>\n<p>Our people make the difference.
