Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Use your passion for customer service and protection to join UW Health as a Senior Security Officer.</p><p>We are seeking a <strong>Senior Security Officer</strong> to:</p><ul><li>Act as an Officer in Charge and respond to leaders across UW Health by overseeing day to day operations of the shift in the absence of a Supervisor.</li><li>Properly document daily activities and write detailed and at times lengthy incident reports using computer software programs.</li><li>Serve as a positive example and provide consistent training, coaching, and evaluation of new officers as part of the department’s field training program.</li><li>Monitor and operate access control systems, security camera systems, intercoms, two-way radios, telephones, and alarm systems.</li></ul><p><strong><u>At UW Health, you will have:</u></strong></p><ul><li>An excellent benefits package, including health and dental insurance, paid time off and retirement plans.</li><li>Access to UW Health’s Wellness Options at Work that support employee/family well-being.</li><li>Tuition reimbursement - UW Health invests in your professional growth by helping pay for coursework associated with career advancement</li></ul><p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></p><ul><li>No minimum education required.</li><li>High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred</li><li>Bachelor's Degree Preferred</li></ul><p><strong><u>Work Experience</u></strong></p><ul><li>18 months of UW Health Security Officer or comparable experience Required</li></ul><p><strong><u>Licenses &amp; Certifications</u></strong></p><ul><li>Must possess a current, valid driver’s license issued by the individual’s state of residence.</li><li>Must be at least 21 years old and have a minimum of three (3) years of driving experience to operate a Personal Vehicle, Patient/Visitor Vehicle, or standard UW Health Fleet Vehicle.&nbsp;​Required</li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) Upon Hire Required</li><li>IAHSS Advanced Certification within 6 months Required</li><li>IAHSS Basic Certification Preferred</li></ul><p><strong>Our Commitment to Social Impact and Belonging</strong><br>UW Health is committed to fostering a workplace that creates belonging for everyone and is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer.
