This position offers significant opportunities for career advancement and professional growth while supporting critical missions and operations.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Perform enterprise-wide vulnerability scanning, assessment, and remediation.</li><li>Coordinate and execute OS and third-party software patching across Windows, Linux (RHEL), and macOS platforms.</li><li>Maintain and apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) compliance baselines to all managed systems.</li><li>Document and report on remediation progress, ticket closure, and mitigation activities to cybersecurity leadership.</li><li>Work closely with system administrators to ensure minimal service disruption during patching and remediation.</li><li>Implement automation tools and scripts to streamline patch management and reduce response times.</li><li>Monitor patch release cycles, evaluate impact, and prioritize updates based on CVSS and mission-criticality.</li><li>Support remediation audits and inspections by ensuring all systems are documented, compliant, and up to date.</li><li>Maintain detailed logs and dashboards tracking patch status, exceptions, and vulnerability risk levels.</li></ul><p><em>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.&#xa0;</em></p>",

          "text": "<ul><li>U.S. Citizen with an active DoW Top Secret&#xa0;Clearance.</li><li>Five (5+)&#xa0;years of relevant experience or&#xa0;a BA/BS Degree with two (2+) years of experience working in an IT or Service Desk environment.</li><li>IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per&#xa0;DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security,&#xa0;GICSP,&#xa0;GSEC, SSCP, etc.).</li><li>Must obtain a computing environment certification within 6 months of hire.</li><li>Demonstrated experience with patching tools (e.g., WSUS, SCCM/MCEM, Red Hat Satellite, JAMF, or Ansible).</li><li>Ability to manage complex remediation plans across a heterogeneous IT environment.</li><li>Experience writing and modifying automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).</li><li>Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Tenable.sc/Nessus, Qualys, OpenSCAP).</li><li>Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p><ul><li>Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity compliance requirements and tools (STIGs, SCAP, RMF).</li><li>Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 certification</li><li>Platform-specific certifications preferred (e.g., RHCSA, MCSA, MCP)</li><li>Experience with incident management within the ServiceNow Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.</li><li>Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.</li><li>A problem solver and troubleshooter&#xa0;who thrives in resolving&#xa0;complex problems.</li><li>Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.</li><li>Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.</li></ul><p><strong>Salary Range:&#xa0;</strong>$57,000 - $96,000</p><p>Several factors influence the final salary or hourly rate, including but not limited to contract wage determinations, relevant work experience, role-specific skills and competencies, geographic location, educational background, certifications, and federal government contract labor categories.</p>",
