By offering mentorship and robust Training and Development opportunities, IND<u>US</u> continues its pursuit to be the Employer of Choice. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Sensors and SONAR Systems Department, Code 15, of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport is responsible for full spectrum engineering, development and research pertaining to Sensors, SONAR and Undersea Warfare. Platforms include submarines, surface ships, surveillance, and distributed networks. Code 15 requires contract services to support Business Operations across the department including Data Center, Property Management, Information Technology & Cybersecurity, Financial Analysis and Project Management. Code 15 serves as the Navy’s Technical Direction Agent (TDA) and In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) for surface, submarine, and undersea SONAR systems. Code 15 supports NAVSEA sponsors through a variety of technical programs including AN/BQQ-10, AN/SQQ-89, Maritime Surveillance Systems, Towed Systems, Advanced Development and Science and Technology (S&T).</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Reporting to the Program Manager, the <strong>Cybersecurity IA Technician</strong> provides cybersecurity and risk assessment support on the <strong>Code 15 Business Operations Support Services c</strong><strong>ontract</strong>. This position is located in <strong>Newport, RI.</strong></p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide IT helpdesk support by resolving IT user issues experienced on a daily basis within the division.</li>\n <li>Generate security artifacts in support of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).</li>\n <li>Perform validator duties for the six-step certification process and testing to maintain information assurance system verification and accreditation.</li>\n <li>Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment for current configuration.</li>\n <li>Obtain cybersecurity certification under Risk Management Framework for IA systems.</li>\n <li>Bid and proposal support if requested.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What We're Looking For</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>An <strong>active</strong> secret clearance is required to be considered for this role.</li>\n <li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in cybersecurity field OR additional years of experience working in cybersecurity field may substitute in lieu of degree.</li>\n <li>At least one (1) year of experience providing cybersecurity support to a DoD program office.</li>\n <li>Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) eligible.</li>\n <li>Must possess an IAT Level I certification or higher-level equivalent:\n  <ul>\n   <li>CompTIA Security +.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>Must possess strong time management skills.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.</li>\n <li>Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Qualifications:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience configuring system services (systemd/init.d).</li>\n <li>PostgreSQL experience.</li>\n <li>Windows system administration experience.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Nessus or other vulnerability management tools.</li>\n <li>Windows certification (preferred).</li>\n <li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.</li>\n <li>Strong customer support and communication skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Navy business/financial processes.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time.
